Please share with me your opinions regarding the supplier Kitlinx.

I've been having problems with a recent order. Listed as "Ready for immediate

shipment" this item was ordered on the 17th. Still hasn't been shipped.

After a number of emails back and forth, I decided to give customer service

a call. Well, I spoke with the representative... She was helpful...to a point.

She said she would call me back. After waiting a half hour...no call back.

I tried customer service again....recorded message that they were closed despite

it being two hours earlier than their closing time. Well, I gave up and went on a

errand. An hour after returning... I got that call back. A cheerful representative

said that the item had been shipped. Cool..friendly conversation and thanks

Followed. But in reality... Only a shipping label has been created and after 24+

Hours later the item hasn't made it to UPS. Now, my bad...I've had problems

with this outfit before...I told the representative this. It was only because the

Item is a hard to find kit available from no other supplier that I ordered it from

them...I also told the rep. this. I'm guessing that the shipping status will be

"Label created" for days. She, the representative, stated that the topic

will be "Brought up with Loic", and the the order will be " Given priority " Well,

I hope so....but I have my doubts.

I will NEVER buy from Kitlinx again.  One order they sent me an aftermarket set missing pieces, and to their credit, they sent me replacements.  Even got an email from Loic the owner.

The next order, I ordered a bunch of Taurus engines, which are not exactly inexpensive, along with some other items.  Well, they did not ship the Taurus engines.  I politely emailed them and Loic directly multiple times, without even the courtesy of a reply.  Needless to say, they were shitty and never made good on my order or offered a refund.

Buyer beware - I will be happy to spread the word as to their shady operation as much as I can.

I can concur with the rest of you!
I had an order shipped to nationals with free Freight for a friend to pick up for me couple years back. Two Item’s were in stock! My order never made it to nationals.  They shipped Separately.  one shipped on the last day of nationals to my Home!  Now they’re requesting me to pay freight on my next order from my previous order?  Weird!

Well, they actually shipped the kit almost 10 days after ordering!

Who knows what I'll get...will I get the kit I ordered or, perhaps a small

wooden duck and a hand full of gravel ? We'll see. Anyway, will I order

from them again? I doubt it. I think , considering my past experiences with

Kitlinx, I got off easy. With Kitlinx you have to be aggressive..... Emails and

Phone calls. Incidentally, you can get Loics voicemail from the Better Business Bureau website.....just saying. An interesting browsing experience

there.

Why bother when there are so many very reliable venders to deal with, who ship very quickly and are responsive to customer emails and inquirers. :hsmack:

I only ordered from this time because I saw a kit in one of their collections

that I couldn't find anywhere else.  I knew I was taking a chance with them!

Maybe put it in the want to trade forum what you looking for?   A lot of us go to Kit swap meets and have a chance to pick it up for you!  I also work with a few hobby shops that pick up collections!!!

Paul

I know but it still sounds just too risky.

I’m on their email list.  Just reading their wall of text gives me a headache. I think I ordered from them once years ago, thus the constant emails. I should unsubscribe.
My go-to’s are Hobby Nut, Sprue Brothers and Squadron. They are my local hobby shops.
