ScottsGT
Wanting to build a couple of hard wing E’s out of my half dozen Revell kits in the stash. Searched all over and can’t find anything. Lots of Tamiya to slatted wings though. Oh, and of course 1/32.

ScottsGT
Nope, the opposite. The Tamiya E kit is an early hard wing. The Revell is the later slat wing. In my reading, I found out the Revell RF-4C has the hard tips. I have one of those and I need to pull it from the stash to verify. I’m wondering if I could find someone to scan and 3D print a couple of sets. I’d normally just swap tips and build the RF as an E, but I need two sets.
BlrwestSiR
The hard wing also comes in any of the Revell Germany F-4F kits too. There's lots of those kicking around if that helps. I have a couple extra Tamiya hard wing outer panels if you want those and try a kit bash.
ScottsGT
Interesting. I have the F kit as well. Also got word on LSP that Harold use to make a hard wing tip set too. I’ve reached out to BiggTim to see if he can located the masters or molds. I’m actually needing three sets because I wanted to use a Revell kit for my Thunderbird build. Probably just as easy to use the F kit and swap parts needed. These damned Revell kits are mix masters!
ScottsGT
Carl, I just looked all through the Revell Phantom instructions on Scale Mates. The only hard wings are the RF-4C and RF-4E. All the other kits, including F-4F, are slatted. I did measure out the wing tips on my RF-4C and my built Tamiya F-4J. I think I could make them work if I have to. Waiting to hear back from BiggTim.

Scott, my bad. The F-4F has an unslotted tailplane which I got mixed up with the slatted wing.
