BlrwestSiR Posted Monday at 11:44 AM Posted Monday at 11:44 AM The weathering looks great. I'm loving the unevenness of it, makes it so much more natural like you pointed out. 2 1
belugawhaleman Posted Monday at 03:18 PM Posted Monday at 03:18 PM Also like your weathering.... Very nice😀 1 1
Martinnfb Posted Tuesday at 04:50 AM Author Posted Tuesday at 04:50 AM This particular aeroplane wasn’t all that dirty. And as we all know, I like dirty. Dirty is good. Dirty makes Martin happy. While maintaining a big restrain I applied the following . Exhaust stains :, NATO black/ ghost grey. Dusting: mixture of yellow, red and brown. Antennae mast is drying, but my eyes managed to loop it all through. Time to visit optometrist. 5

One of my favorite summer tunes, Gotta love Fatoumata Diawara with her special way to sing and her enigmatic guitar. Have all her vinyl´s along with a complete set of Gorillaz black gold. I´ve seen Gorillaz in Berlin during the Plastic Beach Tour, one of my favorite concerts ever. Cheers Rob 1
DocRob Posted Tuesday at 09:28 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:28 AM Lovely weathering and detailing Martin. Oil colors are so versatile and forgiving, that I don´t understand, why they aren´t used more often. Cheers Rob 1 1
Martinnfb Posted Tuesday at 12:43 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 12:43 PM Thank you guys. It was brought to my attention that my antenna lead was on the wrong place, E/F location. So I moved it. 5
BlrwestSiR Posted Tuesday at 02:30 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:30 PM Thankfully that looked like an easy fix. I don't think that I've ever added an antenna wire to my models so you're still one up on me. 1 1
Martinnfb Posted Tuesday at 02:57 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 02:57 PM I should turn this into a comic book. 4

PanzerWomble Posted Tuesday at 08:53 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:53 PM It could battle its arch nemesis .....Nutty McNutz, killer of many projects. 3
Martinnfb Posted yesterday at 03:58 AM Author Posted yesterday at 03:58 AM Jeff delivered Debonder so I could reset the wire. Moving on to some detail. Seatbelts and pencil chipping. Maybe too armour-ish? I might tame it down a little later 6

Martinnfb Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago Thank you guys. The pleasure is mine. Antenna is on, canopy too. I will stretch the filament tomorrow, after everything sets 100% Using an old canvas as a base. Coated with an automotive grey primer and semi flat black paint, straight out of the rattle cans, While wet I powdering with static grass and then used junky acrylic paint to give it dept and tonal variation. We are all ready for some outside glamor shots. Tomorrow is sunset at 17:00. .......now we wait. Was I rushing ? Yes. Konrad from Kingfisher is waiting and frankly, there is also another Airfix to be built, with the level of care that it deserves. Thank you everyone for your support and positivity, this build was not supposed to happen, I just wanted to check for myself if the dreaded wing twist is a fatal flaw. It is not. This kit has some kinks and falls behind the Airfix's Spit. Mk.IX , however it is miles ahead of the Trumpeter's aging fleet of 109s. Could I go to more detail ?, yes. Don't be mad, maybe next time. Hopefully you have enjoyed the ride and my sloppy assembly helped you to decide what would be the best why to approach this kit, best for you. Cheers Martin 5
Martinnfb Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago Cute Nazi Aeroplane... that sounds utterly wrong, but I just can't help myself SNOOPYSCHMITT 3
BlrwestSiR Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago It's a fantastic looking build Martin. You've done a great job on it and blazed a trail for others to follow. 6 hours ago, Martinnfb said: Cute Nazi Aeroplane... that sounds utterly wrong, but I just can't help myself SNOOPYSCHMITT But then what would the Red Baron fly??? 1
DocRob Posted 30 minutes ago Posted 30 minutes ago Fantastic build and a great result to show for, Martin. Everything blends in well and I congratulate you to your accidental build . The Snoopster should fly a Mustang, not a Nazi bird. Cheers Rob
