I picked up these two kits at the 2013 Mosquito Con in New Jersey today.

Thia one will be used in the upcoming Great War GB. It has a full interior. This is an old kit I gather but looks pretty good. Pretty good for 25$ I guess.

This next kit will be used with the M1070 Heavy Transport from Hobby Boss I got last week. $10 US dollars.

I've got the sturmpanzerwagen by Tauro as well but not with the interior (I didn't know there was a kit with the interior !!) - this might help you, I found this on Google images so you might be able to do the same Paul.

 - also you might want to have a look at one of these.  It's basic but could help.

Okay, I was gonna post this on SPAR, but that's down, so ignore everything in this pic except for the StuG III Reference. I got it from Squadron last week for when I start my StuG III Ausf. G this summer. It's gonna be my first major interior job, so I'm really excited. The book has a few really great pics, and I didn't pay tons for it, so I'm happy.

Just in case anyone is interested in the 1/48 trash (only because SPAR is down  ^_^) the other reference is for my other build this summer, a 1/48 Monogram B-26 Marauder. That too will have some interior work, I plan on completely scratchbuilding everything inside of it between the waste-guns and the cockpit. This one has some great pics of the positions I'm gonna be making, and together with the pics I took myself of the interior of the B-26 at the Smithsonian, I feel ready to get to work on it.

The decals are all 1/48, and they were picked up during Squadron's $2 decal sale. The F-86 markings are some interesting post-war ones and will eventually make it to my Academy F-86. The two other sheets will be for future Tamiya P-51Bs (after I make Hun Hunter Texas). I don't know what it is, I really love P-51Bs. If Tamiya's 1/32 kit had been a B instead of a D, I would've picked it up in a heartbeat. Anyways, the decals look nice and seem to have nice, well-researched literature.

Happy Modeling!

Revell He162 from eBay for £11 shipped

Didn't even realise I had won the auction!

Had a look inside and have to say I am very impressed - what a kit! It only retails at mega expensive Hannants for £16.99, so this really is a super cheapy!

Still getting the Aires mega set for it though ;)

Initial thoughts, though.

- The detail is mostly up at Dragon/Tamiya levels.

- included weights = nice

- baffling clear parts selection (upper turret???)

- the fit will make or break this kit. There's just so much going on that something like boom alignment could be a massive pain.

Just a thought, It says a lot for Dragon and their obvious desire to make a decent product that we're talking these days of them being at "Tamiya levels".

I will definitely take wa-ay more notice of their new releases in future.  The AW Messerschmitt GB also highlighted the quality of the Bf109 and Bf110's to me big time.
