elmarriachi
It is a pleasure to start my new airplane now.... I built some other stuff (ships, military, ...) in the past days that's why I wasn't here onlie with news for longer time .... but now I received a pre-serial sample of HK-Models brand new DO-335 monster in 1/32 scale. Together with the brand new metal parts and photoeteched parts by profimodeller I will build the airplane with all hinges open...... Daimler-Benz DB 603 - Engines of the DO-335 First of all I glued together all the engine parts before paintig it all in black. Then I painted the details with a paintbrush before adding some oilcolor washings in black, brown and beige. After all drybrushing with Iron. Then adding Mig-pigments in beige on the engine and fixed them. Finally added oil on it with Tamiya smoke and worked with some different colors of Tamiya Weathering sets (Silver, beige, rust, black)..... elmarriachi
After having finished the most important parts which have to be done before the painting I have taped the engines, cockpit, wheelhouses..... Then airbrushed the underside in lightblue by lifecolor and taped the underside for the next steps.... The taping of the engine bay and cockpit was fun... but workable.... then airbrushed the upper side in RLM82 (also Lifecolor)... Next steps.... painting of the camo with RLM81 .... and firstly... next taping.... Cheers Michael

elmarriachi
Hello, New Update: Having completed the painting I started the weathering with adding some brown, black, white and grey dots of oil color on the upper part of the airplane which I blended with some thinner to give the surface a more interesting colors. After that I added a washing with thinned black oil color to highlight the details and all the rivets on the surface. With a sponge and silver color I added some bare metal on the wings under the cockpit. The landing gear from Scale aircraft conversion was painted in grey-green and given a dark brown washing. The silver parts were silver painted and chrome polished…. Hope you like it so far! Very kind regards, Michael
