Only a Texan. A few dozen more of these and we’ll be starting to wonder about where all the Texans are going, too. 

Yeah, there’s plenty around, but like all vintage aircraft, they sure aren’t ever going to make any more of them.

Yes, I realize that, but the relative scarceness of one to the other does have an affect on one's value system. For example, if someone told me a Shelby Cobra was destroyed in a wreck, I would be mighty relieved to find it was one of the continuation cars and not an original '60s production model.

Yeah I know. I have a personal relationship with the old pilot maker so I get defensive when they get maligned. 

I get a bit sensitive. :)

That median divider caught that T-6 right perfect in the fuel tank, too. No wonder she burned. 

Nosed over, raw gasoline dripping down onto the hot exhaust...

I know you've also built a few Texan kits, and the 190 is my favorite German fighter. So you can see why we feel as we do.

I have a few hours in the miserable old cusses as well, so they’re near and dear to my heart. :)
