Thank's Ernie. It's a great kit, you will have fun with it. No con's what so ever so enjoy mate.

That said, i started this kit as a in between project, normally i wanted to start on the HK Mosquito kit, but i had to wait for some extra goodies, so in between this Viper looked very tempting on my shelf so......well, you know how thing's go's.

Also, the last couple of month's where not so modeling friendly, in other word's, other more important matters where......well......more important So my modeling skills are a little bit rusted...... and i don't like that to be honest. So the mojo was a little bit gone, but hey, i think we all suffer from time to time from this ugly little beast isn't

So today, a couple of minutes ago, i decided it is time to start on the HK Mosquito, so all preparations are in progress to do so. Stay tuned mate and thank's for your kind comment.

long time ago i posted the last progress on my Tamiya Viper. This project is an on and off going project, but still it's very alive.

At the moment, thing's are a little bit changed so i will give you guy's a proper head's op on the Viper situation.

Wheel Bays are painted and weathered.  For the front wheel bay i used a different sort of weathering fluid. Afterwards this wasn't a good idea because of the very obvious difference compared with the main wheel bay. Luckily, it's the underside, and not much will be seen again once the Viper stands on his base.

Also the vertical tail and the rudder is glued together. The nose cone is glued onto the fuselage. Vertical tail is dry-fitted to the fuselage to be sure everything fit's correctly.

Tamiya gives the modeller some very nice extra's into the standard kit. One of these thing's are the static dischargers. Some metal rod's are included in the kit to add some realism to the model. Sadly, to me, these rod's are just way of scale, so they will give the model a rather toy-full appearance.I decided to re-make these static dischargers with the help of some brass tube's.

Here's you see the metal Tamiya kit rod's dry-fitted onto the rudder.

Here you see the difference between the brass and the Tamiya metal static dischargers.

The end result is rather nice if you ask me.

Afterwards, the whole vertical tail with all the extra's.
