  1. NOW we are talking! I hope you can give us some tips on how you do the wood grain effect, and what you use for the cabling?
  2. If any of you guys are knowledgeable, then feel free to populate this topic with your own information and setup, including photos
  3. Another walkaround? Ok, take a look at these images of Spitfire Mk IXc PV270.
  4. Here is my finished Bf 109E-7 Trop, as seen in THIS build log.
  5. This is the Bf 109E-7 Trop that I build for a North Africa GB in the 'other place' before the great February IT crash. I added some aftermarket to it of course, and the model generally built up very well. Don't believe all you hear about how poor fitting this kit is supposed to be.
  6. Hi Will, I have replied to your other question in the Pfalz topic, but I think this is a good topic to have here, and because of that, I'll PIN it.
  7. There's just something about 1:32 bombers that I love, but a 1:32 early RAF bomber, then that's the ultimate IMHO. Watching for a masterclass in scratch work here
  8. I think I used Microset/Microsol...whichever is the least violent of the two. They didn't need anything apart from an initial application, and the decals conform well to the curves of the gunner cupola ring. I added area that in 4 parts. I think the whole lot took a couple of hours to decal. You have to lay down a base colour, and I post shaded the paint before adding the decals.
  9. You're gonna have to tell me how you did that metal finish. I just don't get on with them. Totally love the finish
  10. Moved to correct forum area I used Uschi decal on my LVG fuse:
  11. All I can say is that I'm glad I'm more or less building WW1 now because this build would make me go out and buy this kit. Absolutely live the detailing and correction you've done. Will we see the B-17 next?

There's something about these early non-angular canopy Emils. Here's some images I took a couple of years ago in Munich.
  13. I don't know if classed as 'rare', but they certainly are OOP, I have these:
  14. Here are a few very useful images for you, should Tamiya-san give us that Corsair kit we always wanted!
  15. The aluminium stencils are MDC decals. Not sure about the 1:24 though...
  16. Here's my WIP for the Fw 190D, JV44. To date, this has been one of my favourite builds.
  17. This model was my first foray back into aircraft modelling again, and was the second model I'd used an airbrush in anger on. This is still one of my favourites.
  18. Here's my own Heinkel He 162, which hopefully will be finished before 2018! The kit has Eduard, Aires and CMK parts added, and a little scratch build work. The incorrect Aires radio set was removed from the pit and replaced with a more authentic German set.
