WnW Fokker E.III (Immelmann)
James H replied to JeroenPeters's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
She's looking real great now. Can't wait to see it next to the Blue Max! Is this being displayed on a regular plinth, or a grass base?- 73 replies

1:32 Tamiya Spitfire Mk IX
James H replied to Jeroenveen1's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
I adore that camo. You did a far more natural edging to it than I did on mine. Mine looks crap in comparison: Agreed that it's a corker of a kit. Now.....where's that Corsair? -
I love the Brisfit, but the lower wing on struts etc makes me think it'll be more difficult to tackle. I've got that kit here though, so I'm watching this with interest.

With how much work's involved, it should be an investment for my retirement.

You wanted LARGE SCALE? Ok, how about a 1:16 Albatros D.Va? Just got this from Model Expo. A lot of the metal parts are crap, but I intend to use this as a basis for something far better. It's still a great kit. When you move the rudder pedals and stick, the control surfaces move too! I'm used to working in wood and metal, which is just as well as I need to make a whole new set of brazed brass ailerons, elevators and a rudder.

Hi Doug, First, real nice to see you at LSM! The AlleyCat conversions do fit real well, but you need to measure a 1000 times and glue once when it comes to the matching profiles of the bulkhead and the new nose. You notice I didn't follow the constructional sequence too, with regards to adding the wing before the nose? The one suggested just seemed too illogical.

I'll try and re-cache the skins. Sometimes that can fix things like this. If it's not that, but only specific to those machines, then I would guess that's where the problem might be. I access on my laptop, mobile and iPad with no problems.

Cees, that's pure inspiration. Just amazing. How will you tackle the wings with rib/fabric detail? -

I'll have to remember the colour mix I used, but it was something like 70% RLM02, and 30% light grey, to get that specific shade.

Whoa! I shy from NMF finishes....I can just never hack it, so kudos for this! I'd love to see a couple of internals images if you have any? I'm a sucker for cockpits!- 16 replies

1/16 F-16 Cockpit from Italeri
James H replied to PAnderson's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
I'd got no idea Italeri even did a 1:16 F-16 pit. Awesome work! -
Jeez! I'm supposed to be a WW1 roll, but this looks just amazing. How was the kit to assemble? I wanted to buy this a while ago.

Seriously nice detail. Many thanks for sharing.

Hasegawa Avia S-92 (Czech Me 262)
James H replied to kfutter's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Now he's doing this to tease. I always wanted to do an Avia from the Trump Me 262. I hang my head in shame. Great looking finish, and superbly executed. -
Jeroen, can you screen-cap this for me?
-
Derek, your SG 500 conversion for the Me 163 will be the first review of next week
