Pretty successful afternoon. Got all the seam work finished including buffing the fuselage and installed and aligned all the weapons racks! This has been a sweet little build so far. Had the paint shop prime the A-7A before they left for the weekend and I'll pre-shade it tomorrow!

Continued on with seam work today. Hoping to prime and per-shade tomorrow!

Cockpit detailing done! Pretty good fit after lots of prep work!! Almost forgot that modern jets have moveable tail surfaces and it's okay to have a small gap!! Again after lots of cleaning I've glued the wing halves!! Attached the wings to the fuselage at the correct angle I hope!! Seam work sucks, lol!!! Wait is that why I find armor so refreshing to build, lol!!?? Well at least my parts cleaning reduced most of the glaring gaps!

Now that the tank is done it's time to get serious with the A-7A. Started the cockpit build this evening!

Very pleased with the finished tank. I highly recommend this one. Really fun build with lots of possible schemes!

Paul Grivas one of our members has started his own masking company and may be a source. He made Arno and I Canadain and Swiss masks for out Revell 1/32 Hawker Hunters!

Been watching the way a friend paints his figures so did some studying via YouTube and practicing on my good old styrene sheet!! Stretched a little and did a camouflage uniform on my tank commander!! Future coat and antennas installed!! Installed all the tools and little bits!

Oh I agree! Tamiya kits are a hoot, lol!!!

Hopefully once I finish my latest tank build I can spend time with the A-7 this weekend.

Dry brushing the hull with Tamiya XF-9 Hull Red and XF-1 Flat Black!! I enjoy dry brushing! Working on the road wheels now. Look at the complexity of the suspension system and road wheels!! Incredible!!! Road wheels installed, dry brushed with Tamiya XF127 Black Green and XF-10 Flat Brown, washed with both Flory Dark Dirt and Brown washes. Installed tracks and washed with both Flory Dark Dirt and Brown washes. Installed side armor and washed all possible splash surfaces with Flory a Brown wash!! And a dash of Vallejo Dark Red Oscuro for a hit of rust, lol!! All the pigments and washes had time to dry overnight and I'm really pleased with the effect!!!

That's funny Black as I'm starting to think I build better armor to or maybe it's because I enjoy it more, lol!! I'm look forward to trying a Meng or Dragon kit in the future. I've been shy to try building tracks but I've been a track virgin for too long, lol!!

LOL go far it Wayne!! I've built five Tamiya tanks and have really enjoyed each of them. I'm look forward to trying a Meng or Dragon kit in the future.

Started my $19.95 Revell 1/48 A-7A Corsair ll for a group build on my FB page. Going to model it as flown by the USAF during a successful SAR near Thanh Hoa of a Wild Weasel crew in November 1972. The fit looks pretty good so holding my breath, lol!! Should be interesting doing seam work in there, lol!!!

You know Black Tamya must practice exceptional care with their molds because this kit is beautiful like all the other Tamiya armor I’ve had the pleasure to build. Yes both concrete used as applique armor are still included in the kit! I used the one fronting the drivers section however did use the one on the other side. Really great little kit!!!

Wow this is a speed build, lol!! Just got the hull and side armor back from the paint shop. Will do the pre-shading tomorrow.

Work continued today on another very nice Tamiya kit. With the exception of a few misplaced injector pin marks the kit has been trouble free. I really do enjoy these armor builds, lol!!

My wife has been visiting her sister here in Atlanta so I had all day Tuesday to myself. I spent the whole wonderful day playing, lol!!
