  1. Ern that piece is the fuel tank cut down to hold a life raft (mounted on the port wing pylon) - only accurate for the gray-over-white birds
  2. Just a quick Gotha UWD update as I had a moment to redo the floats. Will add a bit of streaky clear smoke over the dark wooden areas still, but you get the idea of the effect I’m going for on the bitumous tar-covered floats and tail area of the plane. Green will still be repainted after a few fixes of sanding I missed.
  3. Did they say 2021 dates?
  4. Was it an HK stunt or a Merit stunt? Either way it’s a bat-shite crazy way to build hype for a new release. 1.2 stars. Would not recommend.
  5. Sunderland!
  6. Gotha UWD update finally! I had to strip and repaint the wood grain I had done in mid July, finally had a chance to clear orange coat it today. This was done rather roughly as I will be adding some sort of black/smoke coat over it to simulate the bitumius tar waterproofing. Much of the grain will be hidden under that. Fuselage fabric is going to be repainted as well, found a few flaws I missed underneath.
  7. LOL, I'm kinda proud about that wee detail, nearly missed adding it to the design!
  8. That clear resin really is an enigma... next time I’m going to make you a plug to vac form/heat form the rear windows from
  9. If they don’t exist already I don’t think they’d be too hard to do in CAD...
  10. Dennis - Possibly Resin2Detail makes em?
  11. Reminds me I need to saw the other nose half to confirm the resin nose cone cross section fits correctly. If it does, I'll bring the nose and tailcones to 'Nooga for you. Have you put any thoughts into whether or not you'll do anything to show the rear passenger area (clear fuselage, door open, etc), or do you expect you'll keep it simple and build it closed up? Mate, this MR10 is simply stunning, even in the unfinished state. It's pretty scary how much larger the plane suddenly becomes when you attach a wing, isn't it? I only just found that out when I was taking that Orenda test frame photo the other day.
  12. I do love a good plug (that’s what she said!) Thanks Ernie, this was a fun project.
  13. Cheers Ern! The wheels are an August release, Roy should have some available in Chattanooga (if all goes to plan) but I doubt we'll see them on the website for order before that
  14. LOL... Considering I will need to design the engine faces (with de-icing grilles?) and exhaust for those engines for "that other project" for us, it seems like a no-brainer.
  15. Beaut, thanks. I forgot the Brits tested Nenes and such on a Lancastrian! Not sure why RCAF stuck such a blunt nose on the Orenda Lancaster, very strange...
  16. Tail cone shape look right to folks? I’m iffy on it... but I have drawn up a Lancastrian nose as well for a rainy day
  17. Got your next project lined up for you Ern! Need to refine the tail cone cross section as I did it too wide, but yeah, I think this’ll work nicely.
  18. Hubba hubba. dont forget to paint the bottom half of the radome black
  19. The yellow Frog Tape is identical to tamiya tape as well if that's easier for you to find. Found that one out when i was practically living at home depot
  20. Don’t overthink it Ern, you’ll drive yourself insane! Could well have been routed through the side fuselage air scoop if there wasn’t evidence of another inlet
  21. Surprised I saw marauder mentioned before I saw invader! Both cool planes
