  1. Shite... thanks for letting us know, Ernie. I'll drop him a line
  2. Aviattic announced today multiple new items for preorder for Wingnut’s Fokker D.VIIs and the Mengnut Fokker triplanes. Meng/Wingnut Dr.1 photo-etch detail set and screen printed stencil decals, enough for six aircraft plus the corrected “face” for Voss’ F.1. Fokker D.VII decals for U.10 (the surviving aircraft is on display at NASM) and finally, four sets of engine panels for OAW-built D.VIIs: early, mid, late, and a Jasta 65 set. The Jasta 65 set will be needed for anyone wanting to build an accurate Sieben Schwabben (Seven Swabians) and U.10- both of these aircraft featured panels that were not included in any release of the D.VII. Photos and preorder information can be seen at https://www.aviattic.co.uk/news.html
  3. What on earth? Interesting concept for sure, I wonder how popular simulators like this will be
  4. LOL thanks guys. I think they can see this from the international space station
  5. I have hesitated to do a true build thread for my Pete The POM Inspector 2nd as it's something I am only really working on for a day or two at a time as a brain break between other projects. However, right now it's very bright in my model room with the wings and tail surfaces having been painted despite the fuselage not even being glued together yet - Here's a pic on my messy bench, hope you like it! It's the Hobby Boss B-24D that I'm building mostly OOB without fixing the wing or other errors in the shape. Technically Pete 2nd was a later model of the plane (an H, If I recall correctly) that had a greenhouse nose added on once relegated to the assembly ship role. Right now everything you see painted is from paint masks, part of HAD Models decal and mask set for Pete and Pete 2nd. The only aftermarket I'm making are Eduard zoom cockpit, HGW belts for the pilot and copilot, Synthetic Ordinance Works gear legs, and Halberd's rubber tires. There will be a few parts that I will be making in CAD and printing to finish out the build as a demilitarized plane: blanking piece for the ball turret, an observation dome where the dorsal turret was removed, and a rounded off arse end where the tail turret was, with some formation lights inside it. Cheers, Mike
  6. Great pix for nasal radiation! *used to live next door to an old PBY pilot before his passing, he always found it amusing to slightly mispronounce naval aviation
  7. Loving that list! ...Minus the head scratching 1/35 planes. What's the chance we'll ever see Revell reissue the Ju88 or He111 in some variant?
  8. Looks bloody good!!! Hope you see a lot of success with this (I have a hunch you will)
  9. Wooo! Nicely done Ernie, thank you for managing this. Thanks to all who donated prizes and congrats to everyone
  10. I hear there's a user who goes by Seiran02 - no relation - and I bet he would enter
  11. Yeah, what Fran said! ...Or send a pallet of them my way
  12. Stop your sanding dummy! Corrected center wing and fuselage will be in the mail to you this weekend
  13. Anything is doable Ern! You just have to not start any more kits until you've finished the multitude in progress ..Says the guy who hasn't finished a build since summer 2018
  14. I'm in! Will donate the gorgeous new Reskit MH-60 main rotor hub and tail rotor upgrade sets (together as one item)
  15. Edit again... clearly this morning I need MORE COFFEE! Throttle is clearly visible on the left side attached to the diagonal tube (see the 4th pic above)
  16. I'd been looking and looking over everything trying to figure out where the hell the throttle would be. Looking more at this one, I think it's got to be the vertical bars with the black balls on the end connected on the horizontal rod below the control panel. I'm still convinced it's a folding copilot seat with no backrest for access through the triangular cabin door given that there are clearly two sets of rudder pedals in the old timey photo. What a strange setup though with the single control column....
  17. Damn, I totally forgot about these! I took screenshots of some of the youtube videos that you might find helpful
  18. Just got the gear legs and skis back from my friend who owns a higher end printer than I do - the clear blue is a test of a “tough” resin that is supposed to be much stronger. Strangely that resin is somewhat flexible but I’m thinking this is actually a good thing. Ernie gets to make the axles and supporting struts for the MLG that connect to the bottom edge of the fuselage. Ernie - this and the cf100 will be in the mail for you any day now!
  19. For those keeping track at home, a 1/32 Vulcan has a wingspan coming in at 37 1/8 inches (94.3 cm) and only slightly shorter than this in length.
  20. Canuck isn't big enough! I've just bought the design file for a 1/32 Vulcan! The model is designed as a ducted fan radio-control model so the intakes will need to be rerouted, but aside from that it looks to be a SUPERB representation of the Vulcan. Will share photos once it's been printed
  21. At least it wasn't worse, Ernie. Is that the Spirit of Texas build, or September Fury?
