  1. I guess this is armor? In my head canon, this is a scout. These new smaller kits don't come with the description text that honestly hardly ever made any sense anyway. So I make my own, within the framework of SF3D/Ma.K that I understand. And I am of the school that it's the future (space) Nazi's fighting the Alli's, again. WW5 style! The desert pink is mean't to look field applied over a panzer grey base. I feel like I hid too much of the grey, but I like the finished look, so I am ok with that. Also, stowage, which I never see on these things. And the fancy pilot helmet. This guy is an ace, so he gets a few perk's, like a custom helmet. Scratch built fuel cap, cause the carpet monster got the kit part. I added the flex cables, kit molded parts never have the right look, and they are a pain to clean up. Guitar strings are much more in keeping with the original kits. Work in progress here
  2. It's not age. It's heat at the time of casting, how much the mold shrank after curing, how old the mold is, because they do shrink over time. a number of factors. Quality of materials is huge factor. Cheap resin shrinks more. But I don't believe that resin parts shrink over time. It all happens in the mold, or in the first few hours after demold. How you measure the resin has a lot to do with it too. it has to be precise, and it's easy to get complacent when doing a lot of it. Resin casting is a pain in the ass.
  3. Thanks guys. Just need to edit photo's and I will post them.
  4. A last note. Some of the above have their final washes, some do not. Hence the color variations.
  5. Legs. These new kits are a joy to work on compared to the new Wave kits that still use the old Nitto tooling for the leg's and lower bodies, which require a huge amount of clean up. I added the cable. These smaller Ma.K kits don't come with all the multi media goodies.
  6. I added stowage. Since mine would not be done on time, I added a little extra work to it. The strap is made from chocolate coins I received as gifts. Worked pretty well, I think. Hand made buckle.
  7. Hey, The Christmas model for my friend. Last year (2024)was the 1/72 109. This year (2025) the P.K.A. I built one for my self, alongside it, as the kit is boxed with two sets of sprues. Mine got closer to being finished but still had to be set aside to get the gift done on time. So now it's my first complete of 2026. Added detail under the pilot seat. And closed off the front area as the tub left lot of the inside of the hull (?) exposed. Almost entirely done with nernie's, as was the case with the Original SF3D / Ma.K models. The model has a large canopy, which will become obvious later. And it's supposed to open. Which it did, but a combination of a tight fit, and a somewhat wobbly hinge, which is required to get it all to work, meant all the paint would have been scraped off in short order. So none of this is visible now.
  8. It looks like a hot rod. These would have been quite a headache if they ever reached service. And assuming they were built better than my beloved He 162.
  9. Christmas present to myself.
  10. Well, no one can accuse you of being a kit assembler... You, Sir, are a model builder. Fantastic work.
  11. One of my favorites. I have two in the stash, and at least that many in 1/43. Plus decals and the Model Graphics walk around book. I do love this car. I saw it live in Phoenix when it made its debut. Initially, not a lot of sponsorship, but that beautiful green was there right from the start. And, as shown in the book, the raw carbon version. Beautiful in its own way.
  12. Mine arrived as well. Beautiful kit. Curious to see how the window blisters work as separate parts. Looking forward to other PR variants. Kotare are fast becoming my favorite model company. What # did you get? I believe mine is #135. I do intend to build mine, but that's a ways off with all the other projects in line.
  13. They are. But they could be better. Better instructions for a start would go a long way, but with good photo's they are absolutely buildable. They do need to step up though and print them on both sides. Makes positioning a pain trying to hide the raw side, or match it's color.
  14. At Orangecon. Best Pic I currently have of it finished.
  15. Very sorry for your loss Hubert. I never have words for these things. God has a plan, though we never seem to see it.
  16. I've used both. The masks are sublime. Careful application and removal will allow re-use. 10/10 The HGW seatbelts are a pain in the ass. that said, nothing comes close to how good they look in place. 1/32 scale PE belts are just not acceptable after you have seen these. They need way better instructions. Find a good photo of the actual belt. It will help a lot.
  17. That's an accident waiting to happen...
  18. It probably had mud and moss on it at least once during the season.
  19. I probably need the psychologist cause I saw it right away...
  20. You know it does. It also means she stays home on kit show days.
  21. The garage needs to look more like a hanger or F1 padock. otherwise, full marks.
