This was me, but I never pulled the trigger. Enabler brothers have had it on sale at least twice, and both times I could't do it. I have the 1/32 Revell Phantom I built as a kid in the garage. I can just wander out there and see how big it is and then put my wallet back where it belongs.

Idk how much better it can be, the overall shots look like the real deal. Only in the close up's can I pick out the size of it. 👍 -
It is, if you want to boil it down to its very basic core. It's also all the other stuff they do.

I'm sure no one will be surprised, but I like the Spanish school. I also don't believe that anything really looks like what they produce, but as art, which I do view it as, I think it's fantastic.

A truly underrated airplane. Overshadow by its attention whore sister, the Super (right?) Marine Spitfire. And just like the real world, while the camera's are pointed at the super model Spitfire, the Hurricanes are getting the real work done, setting up lights, making sure there's film in the camera, and coke in the bathroom... That analogy may have went off the rail's a bit, but you get the idea. -
Nice to see good customer service. Rodan sent me an upper wing for my Pfalz, years after I bought it. No questions asked.

You found four. And two are not even good examples! Helldivers are beautiful, if a bit big boned... And leave my beloved Goblin alone! I don't have enough fingers to count all the Blackburn Assbackwards and Fairey Airapers that fouled up your side of the Atlantic... -
Very sorry to hear this. But it's inevitable. Rest in peace. Truly a giant in our hobby. https://tamiyablog.com/2025/07/in-memoriam-mr-shunsaku-tamiya/ I had the privilege to meet him at TamiyaCon when they held it out at their beautiful Alisa Viejo facility. He always seemed so thrilled and excited to see all the models at those shows.

It will be fine. I prefer Windex. or , rather, cheap no name windex. Last one I had to strip had a rather intricately painted cockpit so I just applied it with paper towels. Took it right down to primer, one sitting, took maybe an hour.

Depends on the model, the scale. The tiny 1/72 109's I posted here were asked in situ, being difficult to handle otherwise. It all depends on the model. There's no one answer.

AK REAL COLORS MARKERS ....are they cheating or smart ?
Count0 replied to PanzerWomble's topic in Hints & Tips
Expensive, limited in reach compared to a brush, IMO. Not worth the cost. I like AK in general, but a lot of their products are just gimmicks to get your money. Again, my Opinion. I do love their weathering pencils though. -

Those belt look great in this scale. I was looking at their (MFH) belts in 1/43rd that they just released, but it looks like they use the same ribbon, which is just massively overscale for 43 rd cars. Too bad, cause the actual hardware looks amazing. Too expensive if I have to replace the belts to be worth it sadly. -

That copper tubing on the front brakes looks great. Is that infact copper line or is it paint? Oh I see now, copper wire. From the exhaust spring photo. -

Why does nearly every British plane look like it was flown into the ugly tree and then flirted with every branch on the way out? It applies to nearly all of them, except of course, my beloved Mosquito. Not that they didn't try to ugly it up too, with some of the later variants... -
I know one of the modern Titanic kits was rumored to have a misshapen bow? Is it this kit? if yes, any plan to correct that?
-
Super glue will soak the wood, ruining it for staining later, and the parts won't stick anyway. At least that's what I have found. Epoxy would be my choice, applied very sparingly. It going to ruin the wood as well, if you miss. So some kind of guide would be a good idea. Like tape.

I did too. Hopefully it will show up here before the end of the year. And I did order a PR for myself. I should have mentioned it won't ever be re-popped and they are hand numbered.

That's what makes it good. That distinction between model and miniature replica. -
Does it need to be primed? I don't prime anymore unless I have done major work. Idk what that print quality is but if the surface is equal to a current quality injection kit I think a light scuff with very fine sandpaper is all it would need. After it's been cleaned , of course. Otherwise I would say Mr. Surfacer. If it won't melt styrene it won't melt printing material.
