  2. Vite Vine? Thou ist schnazzled?
  3. These are my pics.
  4. We’ll get them all soon enough. I’m sure. I guess we could scratch out a DH.4 with Ninak parts and other goodies.
  5. I hate to say it, but that’s not my pic. I grabbed it quick, because it was beside mine. But no flowers for me, folks. Sorry to disappoint ya.
  6. The Speedy was the ship that Cochrane earned his wings. Captured a Spanish frigate with Speedy. His bio reads like a novel. In fact, his exploits have been fictionalized several times. The Horatio Hornblower novels and of course the Captain Aubrey and Dr. Maturin novels, one of which was made into a movie “Master and Commander”. HMS Speedy was the real ship that became HMS Surprise, etc. Cochrane was a serious badass who tore up the French and Spanish.
  7. I wanted a DH.4 and Be.2 in the worst way
  8. Pfft. Who cares. I’m all in for a WNW GB and I’ll rattle it off the walls in the Great Hall of Power, and see what is said.
  9. The guy has a container trailer for his stash. Not baaaaad not bad at all. I only have. 30x40 building, and a third of that is overflow, so you win. show off!
  10. We gotta chill, guys. Deep breaths and chill out
  11. OK. I’m going to do something here that I don’t normally do. I’m going to prune a post. As much as some people may or may not have issues with personalities on other forums, we just can’t be posting PMs from other forums on this forum. They’re personal and confidential. One thing I’ve found out since starting moderating here is that it’s a balancing game. Too far? Not far enough? As everyone here knows, we let threads run here, we don’t generally shut stuff down, nor do we prune stuff. But let’s not drop to the level of personal attacks. The gentleman in question over on TOS, we’ll, let’s just say he ain’t on my Christmas List, but I’m not into public humiliation either. let’s chill, folks. The thread is open, but I’m gonna contribute greatly and watch it closely.
  12. Gone to the Dark Side....
  13. Tony had a way he described my stash that had me rolling on the floor...
  14. On Lothar's approval, I pulled down our jet pics. He started a Polish jet thread on modelling discussion.
  15. A decent enough beginner collection, I'd say. it shows promise, in the same sort of a way a budding 9 year old little leaguer shows promise.
  16. Pfft. You guys are amateurs.
  17. haha. Thanks Gazz. If you can picture the plane in NMF with yellow wings, a speed ring on the engine, or better tet a bumped cowl like a Stinson SR-8 with an open hub prop, followed by wheel spats, you begin to see the beauty of the design. It's actually not an ugly airplane. The classic gull wing is pure winged nirvana, and either a speed ring or an open radial would smarten this ship right up. Polish khaki is one of those colors that just sucks in light and destroys it, so that's not the best way to be able to judge the beauty of a design.
  18. Yep, me too. I'm following this one with serious interest. I remeber "chromed" plastic on model cars and truck kits from the 70s, and the big plastic bare spot that always was present after the parts were cut off the sprues. When this kit came out, I thought it was a typical Tamiya toy gimmick. So we'll see in real time. Build on, Sir!
  19. I think it’s a beautiful aircraft, designed to fly and fight. Her coloration makes her unappealing, but her lines show her as a stout quarter horse. I don’t think I’d want to meet her in an He.51
  20. I’m not sure it looks much like the guy. It looks pretty generic European.
  21. I’ve never seen one of these built before. Do they build OK or are they toylike?
  22. You and me both. I’d also love to see a Stieglitz in 1/32 IM as well. That’s a seriously classic design.
  23. Mine is the the AFV Club release, which is Academy plastic with a bit of extra AM included.
