Oh well, I build off what I see in reference pics, and this is my only picture showing the inboard leading edge, and they are clean on FM104 here. Another thing, FM104 had, at one point near the end of her operational life, a much more painted over greenhouse, and a lightning stripe that extended much farther forward. I chose to build the version depicted in THIS photo, simply because I like the look better than the fully painted canopy greenhouse.

Now, an over abundance or silliness can result in stupidity. Such as here. There are many pics of FM104 without screens on the carb intakes, and with HK giving us simple blobs of plastic to represent these scoops, I took it upon myself to hollow them out. Great, and yes, they look pretty good, except idiot here installed the inner ones on the outer nacelle a month or so ago. I thought, “dang, these fit like crap!” Until today, when oops, the ones for the inner engines don’t fit. And then I noticed the shapes are different too. So, I managed to pop them off without screwing them up, and now I can put them on the proper nacelles. Yes, they have totally different shapes. Inners (formerly the otters) are black, correct outers are unpainted Well, I’ve never claimed to be the brightest of bulbs or the sharpest tool in the chest, and this certainly proves it. But, onward we trudge, confident in the knowledge that they DID manage to teach monkeys to fly spaceships, so there’s hope for me yet.

Frank, it’s looking stunning, man. We all have the same issues. We start rushing and mess up paint. LOL I rushed so much a couple weeks ago that I put a fingerprint in Alclad. Alclad dries almost instantaneously, so I was certainly rushing. I love the fact you use masks. Cutting my own is something I’d love to learn sometime.

Looking bloody amazing! -
That’s the thing, buddy. Those kits need nothing, really, except seatbelts and wheels. More means aggravation.

And I tried calling but you’re phone is FUBAR

Harv, I might need to send you my go-to kind of kit for getting back in it when you ain’t feelin’ It. Either a Hasegawa 109F, 190D, P-47 or a P-40. You can build any one of them with nothing more than seatbelts and maybe wheels. A prop as well on the German stuff. Dude, you can do a stunning build on any one of those with no AM and PE hysteria and no smoking mad brain. In other words, a nice, simple mojo rejuvenating build that’ll put you screaming for more. Whatcha say, Cap’n?

Yeah, they were pretty much untouchable and invincible unless they had an engine problem. -
Ok, so what would service the 10.5 as a prime mover? I’ve seen so many variations of the 251/4 that I’d almost wonder if it did everything. The Germans sure loved their half tracks. And sorry for the stupid questions. I know absolutely nothing about German armor and vehicles
