What I've been doing this afternoon...
Clunkmeister replied to [CAT]CplSlade's topic in Non LSM 'WIP
Like all series, they all eventually “Jump the shark”, ST and SW not excepted. I think ST, like the story of Superman, can be saved completely by boing back to the raw original storyline, not changed up for social justice or political correctness, just use what made it great in the beginning. For ST, I’d go with the Picard/Striker/Data/Worf theme, that series took ST from cult acceptance to modern day huge mainstream success. SW? Go right back to the original storyline and don’t waver one bit. Just like Superman, they went back to Smallville with an unassuming middle America small town kid who made it big. -

Martin asked me not to share this, so... Here are a few very rare pictures of his personal Soviet era archive with him at work researching aircraft for builds and a picture of his office the Workers Party Research Directive

Another reason to build an HK kit!

Apparently all it is is someone forgot to remove the masking before spraying the emblems, and they just left it alone. -

Yeah, I liked that one alot, although it scared the dickens out of me when it was first released. -

I heard that too, Carl. It should be an easy conversion. And a unique one as well. -

OK so he lost it on the roll out. Rack up enough taildragger time and you too will eventually have a sporty rollout. -

I know Smitty has a hankering for the truly stupidest of all sci fi kits. The Haunebooboo flying dinner plate in full it’s Waffen SS idiocy. -

Cat, I’m with you there. I love GOOD science fiction as much as anyone else, but I’m way too much of an aviation guy and I always struggle with the basics. Like air breathing turbojets in space, open F-86 style inlets on the front of fighters, atmospheric maneuverability in space, engine and weapons SOUND in space, no reentry issues with thin skinned fighters, etc, etc. yep, I’m a horrible fan, but I try to look the other way for a couple hours as I take it in. Space 1999 was by far my favorite, at least technically speaking, same, more or less, with Star Trek until it started getting corny of late. Yeah, I’m a Picard-O-holic. So Yeah, I get peeved as well. LOL! So now, off to find that 1/48 Eagle 1.... -

I think the HK kit doesn’t need much in mods for this version. Just basic PR stuff, but I do apparently like aircraft with lots of Hi-Viz red on them. -

Looking great so far! That fuselage looks like it suffered a high G pullout. I can't wait to be able to get started on mine

Amazing detail as always, Jeroen. Your builds are just incredibly stunning. Watching a masterpiece take shape is truly an honour -
Oh good GRIEF! Mark, I feel for you, my friend. My wife had the same thing with the big Corporation she's been with for 35 years. 6 years ago they say everyone's job was being transferred to Austin, so they all sold their homes, bought new ones there, and moved to Austin. A year later, they decide to close the Austin location and move them all to Bloomington, Il, to be at Corporate HQ, but they'd need to reapply for their current positions. A few didn't get picked up so they end up taking laterals into anything that provides a paycheck. THEN, after another year they decide to move the Department back to Dallas. So now, 800 employees move back to Dallas but now they have no home, (they sold them, remember?), and are faced with buying a house in a red hot real estate market for 2-3 times what they sold their old one for. Such is Corporate America these days. Joy, because she's got a disability, (Lupus), with all it's associated health concerns, works from home and was able to miss all the musical cities stuff. But this kind of garbage y'all go through gets me incredibly cynical Mark, and all I can say is try for ADA. It helped us when we needed it most.

I’m really looking forward to the special Lanc stuff. I’ll be giving HK and WNW a lot of money so I can build a few different examples of my favorite WW2 heavy. -

I just got a small scale squirrel, so we can figure it out from there. -
You guys are lucky. I still have the same issue. Yes, call it the B-36 conundrum. Too big of aircraft, too small hangar space.

One look at me shows that I certainly don’t mind food. -
We definitely have a western themed country look in our home. My wife is 100% in charge of that, and she’s a born and raised country girl. Our house isn’t big by US standards either, but is comfortable for the two of us and the occasional guests. Thanks for the ideas. I’ll look into it here. I know there’s plenty of people who have B-17s and such in cases, so I thought maybe there was something out there.

Har har har. This WAS an actual serious question. I find nothing when doing a search.
