Frank, it’s looking stunning, man. We all have the same issues. We start rushing and mess up paint. LOL I rushed so much a couple weeks ago that I put a fingerprint in Alclad. Alclad dries almost instantaneously, so I was certainly rushing. I love the fact you use masks. Cutting my own is something I’d love to learn sometime.

Looking bloody amazing! -
That’s the thing, buddy. Those kits need nothing, really, except seatbelts and wheels. More means aggravation.

And I tried calling but you’re phone is FUBAR

Harv, I might need to send you my go-to kind of kit for getting back in it when you ain’t feelin’ It. Either a Hasegawa 109F, 190D, P-47 or a P-40. You can build any one of them with nothing more than seatbelts and maybe wheels. A prop as well on the German stuff. Dude, you can do a stunning build on any one of those with no AM and PE hysteria and no smoking mad brain. In other words, a nice, simple mojo rejuvenating build that’ll put you screaming for more. Whatcha say, Cap’n?

Another reason to build an HK kit!

Yeah, they were pretty much untouchable and invincible unless they had an engine problem. -
Ok, so what would service the 10.5 as a prime mover? I’ve seen so many variations of the 251/4 that I’d almost wonder if it did everything. The Germans sure loved their half tracks. And sorry for the stupid questions. I know absolutely nothing about German armor and vehicles

Crap, I just saw this thread! Dang, y’all! Harv, I hadn’t talked to you in a couple weeks and I just wrongly assumed you made a run to California or something. We love ya Harv! Your health and welfare come before all else. Models are just a hobby. Living is somewhat more important, so much so that a hobby can’t be accomplished without the alive thing being there first. We’ll see you in a few weeks, health allowing, and we’ll chill out and have a few laughs. Here’s a couple pics to make you smile. As in WHY was the RCAF blatantly supporting ARC and not LSM? I call for an investigation! A Royal Commission! A Congressional Inquiry! “sniff”

Sd.Kfz.10/5 mit Sd.Ah.51...
Clunkmeister replied to Wumm's topic in D-Day 75th Anniversary Group Build
Good to see another of these on the go, Wumm. I’ll strive to pay close attention as I have a similar kit, the Sd.kfz.251/7 plus a 10.5cm wheeled field piece to be towed behind and of course, with the gift of Dragon’s ultra vague instructions, I’ll have no bloody clue what goes where. It might end up looking more like a Zundapp KS 750 than a half track. following with interest! -

Glued the bumper and some air tanks on the bones today, just to say I did something. The Lanc will be done in a couple or three weeks, then full time on this one. I’m ready to do a groundbound vehicle for a change. -
Trigger, will you have this a Chattanooga in a few weeks? Looking awesome, mang!

Another reason to build an HK kit!

It’s actually explained on the decal sheet. Which I found odd because a PR Mossie wasn’t exactly an aircraft that would be considered disposable or short lived. Most lasted a very, very long time. -

Thanks, Phil, it's been one of those days. I needed that! -

John, I'm THRILLED this is back on the bench. I've seen so many really stellar builds of this kit it'd be a shame to not see it done. Of course, mine still languishes in the stash with it's 10 lbs of AM goodies, so that shows you I'm personally all talk and little action. I'm looking forward to seeing the culmination of this. And please be forewarned. I have a feeling that if this hits the SOD again, Phil will call in an airstrike on your location right after Gazz sends in the Hussars. -

What I've been doing this afternoon...

Two full seasons for sure, unless they did more. It’d be cool to have a sympathetic careful redo of that show, don’t change much of anything, just modernize the special effects a bit. Looking back even today, that show had most of the real space effects nailed. -

Galactica was GREAT. But to me, Space 1999, for all its hokey 1970s schlockyness, was a really decent series. We saw it first run in Canada, but if I remember right, it took a little longer to air in the USA. I think Patrick Stewart WAS Star Trek NexGen. He was and is, brilliant. Yeah, the Ferengi were just a bit over the top for me. If I build any SciFi kit at all, it’ll be the MPC 1/48 Eagle transporter. -
