I love that man's story. An inspiration for everyone, no matter if you're into aviation or not.

Probably width with me. Anyone who's seen me can testify! Look, it's a Five Futtah! I'm definitely girth challenged.

Looking great,John! -
I don’t know about that, as I lost a few kits several years back due to heat. One was an ultra rare P-47 Razorback. Yes, I was seriously pissed. But let me know if there are any issues and I’ll get ahold of them.

Oh boy. Crazy man with a telephoto lens taking pics of a Marine Base. Can you say "armed takedown", boys and girls?

1/32 PZL P.11c supposedly coming in 2020 from IBG Models
Clunkmeister replied to [CAT]CplSlade's topic in General Discussion
P.11c = instant classic the moment is was built. There's something seriously gorgeous about that aircraft... And if the back half of the fuselage looks familiar, it's because the entire rear half of the P.11 was used on the IAR.80 and 81 Romanian fighters. -
155s are good. They keep you alert. And Happy Birthday, ya goof!

Happy Birthday there Marine! Off to San Fran for the weekend for ya I expect? I know how much you LOVE San Francisco and all.

Carl, I had a quick look at it when I replaced the chewed up shipping box and I didn't see any obvious signs of warps or heat damage. Please have a very close look at all the parts and let me know if there are any issues. Struts, prop, decals, or what have you. It sat through two Texas summers in a non air conditioned building.....
-
Yeah, it was sitting in a pile of boxes in a parts storeroom at the shop. We had signs of rodents so I had my guys pull the entire room apart. I turned it into a parts inventory moment, and the next morning, guess what got found? It sat in a non air conditioned area for a couple years or so, so the first thing I did was open it up and check for warps. So Carl, you have Mickey’s cousin to thank for that. I’m just relieved it was found.

The P.11c was wholly Polish, and used the Bristol Mercury engine. -
IS? As in Middle East IS? I never would have thought they were still around. They be many tons of steel each.

Did a bit of chassis work tonight while I was waiting for the paint to dry on my Lanc. No new pics because I was just adding fittings to the frame. -
