  1. The cat’s gone, but for a minute or two I was thinking my Luger hasn’t had work for awhile... Yeah, the model’s junk. Completely glue soaked the fin so it actually bent. I finished it off. The rear of the model was masked off over the nmf, so the glue seeped under the tape on the rear and etched the plastic. I’ll look tomorrow, but it looks beyond hope. I guess just crack it open and put the pit into the replacement Glen sent me for building this one. See how t looks tomorrow, but I know how this story usually ends.
  2. So, no Kingfisher for me. I’m starting a new F-5 now.
  3. Was 2 seconds from stepping on it. The only thing that stopped me was the glue running off would have gotten all over the floor. Cat has been thrown outside. First and very last time I’ll have a damned cat in my home.
  4. Well, we had the neighbor’s cat over tonight, it jumped up onto my bench and knocked over a full bottle of Tamiya extra thin onto my model. The fin’s destroyed, as is the rear fuselage and front glare shield. The glue was on it for literally 15 seconds. What a total waste of time. I guess I’ll start fresh on another, salvaging what I can from this one. Story of my life
  5. Had a Convair van once. What a galloping piece of s**t that thing was
  6. I’ve read accounts of Canadian bomber crews who wore flak jackets. I’m not sure if it was commonplace but as far as I knew, they were worn. Hmmmmm
  7. Oh heck yeah! Let’s get it on. Finish out Glen’s F-5 first, and let’s go!
  8. Zero to 60 in about two and a half hours. Three if you’re fighting a headwind.
  9. Someone stole the engine!!! Good thing I have a spare in the trunk!!
  10. Compared to HK’s previous releases, the Lanc is simply stunning. I always use fabric seatbelts, brass gun barrels so it’s expected and I’m not in the least bit concerned. Now, the Airscale panel is simply a gorgeous upgrade over any OOB kit offering I’ve ever seen and Eduard PE is a simple personal choice on how far your AMS has progressed. How much work and pain do you want to deal with for a very minor gain in detail? I never open up my models, so engines and such are never a concern to me. I’m extremely happy with my kit. Well Done, HK!
  11. Hey Mike, Do you want those as individual prizes or bundled into one? Let me know and I’ll make the necessary post. Ernie
  12. Peter, if he did, he’d be driving a massive white late 60s Cadillac convertible with bull horns on the front, dressed in a white suit, not red, smoking a big, fat cigar and wearing a big ol’ John B. Stetson hat. SANTA, TEXAS STYLE!
  13. Just a friendly reminder guys. Please double check you name to verify it’s on he list, and if you donated a prize, that it’s on the list. Thanks y’all, it makes my job just a teeny bit easier.
  14. Well, an evening just to kill the join line for the intakes. Now to res rive what was lost
  15. Yep, they don’t tax gasoline here like they do in the rest of the world.
  16. But one more 2800and you can hang them on that Widow! It’s calling “Build Me, Daddy, please?”
  17. I’m just about to offer bets on how long till Corsair #96 or so gets started.
