  1. I really hope his K-36 did as K-36s normally do... I don’t like seeing flight crews die.
  2. Oh, and no CD for the B-36. Here you get a real full color 8nstruction book.
  3. Iain, let me assure you of this; This model cost me $615.00. Yes it’s expensive, but it’s than half of what you would pay online. They’re on eBay, Sprue Brothers, and other places for $1250.00 and more. My HPH dealer is 15 Miles from my home so I pay no shipping. If you, or anyone else wants one, I believe he may have a couple more available. The price I paid for this is almost half what people pay for Tamiya 1/16 scale tanks, or about five Wingnut two seaters, plus, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I’d say if you want the Peacemaker, this is as good as it’ll ever get and is probably the only chance you’ll have at trade price. Old guns and models are my only real hobbies these days, so if you’re like me, buy one. Heck, if you don’t like it, put it on eBay and double your money. Me, I’m a builder, not a speculator. I build my stuff.
  4. Ya I have my magic file and strip plastic too. No muss, no fuss.
  5. Agreed, but to me, 1/35 is still just Tamiya scale. It’s all but useless to me.
  6. Well, let’s be honest. Full resin kits, especially the earlier kits from the early to mid 2000s have alot of fitting, filing, sanding, adjusting, and fiddling just get everything ‘just so’. I’ve already made the rudder post bottom too narrow, so I’ll need to shim it out some with plastic card stock, then fill and rescribe. Such is the price of being in a hurry. Slow and careful wins this race.
  7. Noice! I’d certainly do one of those. I like support equipment. It’s never built. I have the complete V2 set with launcher, trailer, and tractor that I’d like to do. Plus Copper State just came out with absolutely cool WW1 RNAS Lanchester Armored Car in 1/35 Tamiya Scale that would look cool with the Felixstowe.
  8. So with the end being open ended, just keep on building..... As soon as the interest wanes, it’ll be consigned to history. Let’s just build some Würgers, I’m gonna be pretty OOB with mine.
  9. The Iroquois engine ended up warping and twisting the B-47s fuselage so badly that the aircraft was deemed a total loss and was stricken from the inventory. The Iroquous engine was powerful enough where the crew would idle the other 6 and cruise around on just the Iroquous. My Dad was RCAF and he told me how the RCAF had several B-47s at Downsview in the mid 50s being evaluated for potential service. They decided to go with missiles instead which was also a reason the Arrow was dumped.
  10. The only Nation other than the USA to inventory Stratojets. Back in the day when Canada was actually serious about having a first class nuclear strike force. Before the ICMB. They got complacent once the ICBM came online. B-47 was a grand experiment, but the up and coming politicos didn’t like the idea of an offensive bomber force, (but was perfectly cool with ICBMs). Odd stuff
  11. Well, he almost has crashed Würger done, so can finish it here.
  12. Martin finishes his Focke-Wulfs. And Mug-9, right Martin? Smitty wants Mug-15s... And yes, a Recce Würger would be nice...
  13. I did a PCM A-1 kit a few years ago. It wasn’t so bad. Wing roots are iffy, that’s all. Plus, you need to FIT the resin goodies. Nothing bad, just some sand, fill and putty. Miles easier than a full resin kit. The engine insert is hinky, but just sand the edges. You can’t see past the spinner and cooling fan anyway, so no harm no foul. I like Hasegawa after I borked the finish on a multi year pet project. They make me look and feel halfway competent.
  14. Comrade Hlavič? He was waiting to swoop in and buy them all. Hey, you want one, I’ll send you one....
  15. Ya gotta choose wisely. As long as you get a kit that effortlessly falls together like the PCM 190A, what could possibly go wrong?
  16. So now the fun begins. Fitting the interior. Pics to come soon on the pit. I’m doing what I originally said I wouldn’t do, and that’s to sand away Jerry’s interior and modify it. But although Jerry’s is awesome, I feel I can add to it, so as of right now, my Drexel and I are having much fun.
  17. I think we’re gonna need a bigger bench.
  18. Me too. I had grabbed a couple last year when they were blowing them out. I didn’t get the U8 and I regret it a lot.
  19. Yup! And yes Jeroen, that’s a FAL mag in front of the Gotha. notice the Würger behind... plus a few T-28s as well.
  20. P-51 is priority. Würger as comic relief. I’m too far into that B to stop. Jerry’s kit needs building.
  21. Aaaaall righty then..... Here I go, first in with an A-1. I finished the last of the Würgers, the Ta-152H-1, and now, let’s do the very first of them, a short nose A-1. I have two of these kits, one with the A-4 inserts, and one without. I’ll use the kit without the 8nserts, despite the pic being of the new release. I’ll use a minimum of AM, just HGW belts, brass barrels, and some brake li;e scratching. Other than that, this will be OOB. We should be able to build this in conjunction with the P-51B. Heck over on our 32nd Mafia FB site, Dave Crosby’s doing SIX Dora’s and a P-51B. All at once..... Crazy guy him.
