That Lysander is cool. I so wish for a modern Lysander in 1/32...

Nice score! That’s some seriously cool nose art.

I’m glad to see that they got down safe. They saved themselves and the aircraft. Pretty crazy landing at those speeds when you can’t even breathe on the wheel brakes...

John, Buddy, this is looking absolutely amazing!

We have an awesome thing here. I’m bloody amazed and super happy. Everyone’s cool here. Hey, every place has their “bad guy”, and I don’t see him/her, so now I wonder if it’s actually ME! heheheheeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hasegawa 1/8 Scale Sopwith Camel
Clunkmeister replied to andre@shiftbrands.co.za's topic in General Discussion
Welcome, welcome, welcome Andre. I’ve owned a couple over the years and still have one to this day. They’re great kits but are as complicated as they seem to be. 8 will warn you that none of them are completely accurate with the internals, although the Camel is by far the most accurate. You will need to do some modifications to the cockpit internals and the tail feathers own internal structure if you building it uncovered and want 100% accurate structure. But if you just want a fabulous looking model that’s 95% correct internally, the Camel’s worth every penny you pay. -

Take a brake (leak) T-55 Enigma, MB-220

Awesome job, Rob. It definitely looks the part. I was quite respectful of Russkie tanks when I served. They had many many thousands of them. But with Carl G., we had us a tiny bit of an equalizer, or at least something to make us feel we did. And if we were lucky and held our tongues just right, it worked just as advertised, too. -
HPH model 1/48 scale B-36 Peacemaker !
Clunkmeister replied to IainMackayDall's topic in Modelling Discussion
Yup, I’ve corresponded with him by email as well. One of my other pet projects is converting the big Trumpeter Mi-17 into a Canadian Army bird. He thought he could handle some masks or decals for that application as well.- 32 replies

Former Guatemala AF Commander Visits Special Hobby

I bought the T-2 in Phoenix. Jiri and his crowd of friendly Czechs gave me many nice kits in exchange for little pieces of green paper. -

Clunkmeister replied to IainMackayDall's topic in Modelling Discussion
I’d buy a B-58. I’m also buying the B-47 when it comes out. I want to do it in RCAF colors. Just to be different. It’ll get comments.- 32 replies

what is the best 1/35 kit of T-90?
Clunkmeister replied to Martinnfb's topic in Modelling Discussion
. That rung their ears I bet. when will Russkies learn that putting ammo in side lockers is a very very bad idea. -
They’ve been successful elsewhere when tried, and everyone loves a Wurger. I’d suggest anything from the A-0 up through all variants to the last of the Ta-152s. I’d even say include the US built version of the Würger, the F8F Bearcat.

Best kind of T-55 is a cooked off T-55. I love this. It speaks volumes to me. An 84mm Carl G in between the bogies usually did the job. The trick was getting the round in there without hitting the suspension. -

That’s because you really want me to build it, right? -
No big deal. They think we all look the same.

Yeah, try that on TOS. You’s get banned.
