Jerry Rutman P-51B build
Clunkmeister replied to Clunkmeister's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Jerry Rutman himself mentioned how the seat was one of those things that needed changing that never got done. Understandable. -
Insane! I’m going to fold the wings on mine. Other than that, John, I’d be happy if mine turns out half as nice as yours.

Not much bench time this weekend after the Honeydew list got handled, but that’s what being a good husband does: be there for the pretty half of this family. After the stuff gets done, I find myself working away on the fuselage, picking the best way to go. I’d like to make some common sense upgrades to Jerry’s original interior, but not too much. I’m looking at the Eduard and Aires interior offerings, and, to be quite honest, there isn’t much gain to be made other than locations of some interior items. Organized confusion here. The pilot seat has me scratching my head. The kit seat seems way overscale, like it was built for my arese, not a 22 year old kid. Kit seat on left, Aires in the middle, aftermarket D seat on right. -

Thanks! Yes, I used a sea of aftermarket Pheon decals to finish mine, just to be different. Thanks for the nice comments. It is a HUGE wingspan, but if you rig with monofilament line, it’s remarkably strong when completed. -
Right on!!! Awesomeness!!!

Thanks, Peter, but judging by everyone else’s way forward to a B/C, I might have the easiest way forward here. -

Yeah, she is ugly, eh? In a beautiful hulking way.

This kit went together like a dream! Some might have seen this on TOS, but I thought I’d move it here

She was heavily weathered to reflect open ocean duty, and I’ve felt pretty good about how she turned out. Decals are Pheon, Aviattic linen flying surfaces. -
$40.00. At least I’ll use it when sanding resin. Paint fumes, not so much of a bother

That but in the background built from old Junkers and Ford skins?
-
A few little surprises here and there, but looking great, Martin! Absolutely awesome, man.
