  1. Looks great John. Hope I can get the "N" to look that good. Cheers, Jerry
  2. Did this one a year or so ago but don't think I ever posted it here. Used AMS resin seat and stick along with Eduard cockpit detail. Cheers, Jerry
  3. What timing John. I have the Trumpeter P-47N out of the closet and hope to get started on soon, I hope. Cheers, Jerry
  4. Knew I wasn't going to see Air Strike. I could barely make it thru the trailer on You Tube. Jerry
  5. I do the Voodoo. Completed the same time that I finished the P-40B posted earlier is the Monogram 1/48 F-101B Voodoo OOB with Caracal decals for the Texas ANG 111th FIS. Last 2 pictures is with the RF-101B and the F-4C/D Phantom (TX ANG) that I did many years ago. Also Monogram kits. Cheers, Jerry
  6. Started this build back in the spring and finally got it finished a couple of weeks ago. Revell 1/32 P-51D Mustang of Lt. Arvil Roberson of the 357th Yoxford Boys. Used Eagle Cal decals, Barracuda resin wheels and Radu seat belts. Nice easy build, but due to my slowness took me longer than I wanted. Cheers, Jerry
  7. Been away from this forum for a couple of years but I am back with this Tomahawk I finished a couple of months ago. Trumpeter 1/32 P-40B Tomahawk of David Lee "Tex" Hill, Squadron Leader, 2nd Squadron, "Panda Bears"---China, Burma 1941-1942. Used the Cutting Edge resin cockpit (kit cockpit is to shallow), Eduard PE IP and EagleCal decals. Probably should have used some AM wheels but went with the kit ones. Cheers, Jerry
  8. Thanks for the info. Also got this color info from another site. RAL 7012 Basltgrau, RAL 6014 Gelboliv and FS 36375 Light Ghost Gray/RAL 7001 Silbergrau. Cheers, Jerry
  9. Can anyone tell me what the topside camo and underside colors are for this bird? Color guide instructions are unreadable. Thanks. Cheers, Jerry
  10. Finished this one a couple of weeks ago after being started about this time last year. Monogram/Revell 1/48 F-18C of VMFA-122 "Werewolves" with True Detail seats, Hasegawa GBU-12's and Flying Leatherneck decals. Also started a Hasegawa "D" at the same time a year ago and still trying to get it finished along with the Revell 1/32 Bf-110C-4. Cheers, Jerry

  11. This is pretty much the same system that ARC went to. I noticed on there and on here too that when you are in the unread content section and click on a thread, read it, and then click back to the rest of the unread section the the thread that you just read is gone. No longer in the unread content. Is that because the thread has been read and is no longer considered as "unread"? Just curious. Would rather it stay after being read so it can be referred back to while still being in the unread section. Cheers, Jerry
  12. Usually have 2 or 3 going at the same time. Have a F-18C and F-18D going right now with a 32nd F-15E being a shelf queen at the moment. Have been doing a 1 to 1 project of redoing my kitchen since Oct. so models have taken a backseat at the present. Thanks for the kind replies all. Jerry
  13. And a few smaller birds. Cheers, Jerry Hasegawa 1/48 F-4B Phantom Hasegawa 1/48 A-7E Corsair Revell 1/48 EA-6A Intruder
  14. Not very productive this year. The older I get the slower I get. Cheers, Jerry Revell (Special Hobby) 1/32 P-39D Revell 1/32 Corsair Hasegawa 1/32 F-104S Hasegawa 1/32 F6F-3 Hellcat Trumpeter 1/32 F4F-3 (Early) Wildcat Hasegawa 1/32 Ki-43 Oscar Revell 1/32 F-4E Phantom Revell 1/32 RF-4E Phantom Hobby Boss 1/32 F-84E Thunderjet
  15. My year ending (2015) build was the Hobby Boss 1/32 F-84E Thunderjet which I started back in the spring. I get slower with age. I used the AMS resin seat with bits & pieces from the Eduard PE interior set to enhance the cockpit a bit. Replaced the nasty rubber tires with a real nice set of resin wheels from Fisher Models. Painted with 3 shades of Alcald II. This is my first HB kit and I was amazed at how well it went together with very little putty used. A lot of the parts just more or less snapped into place needing just a touch of glue to secure them. The front wind screen just snapped down right into place and needed no glue at all. Cheers, Jerry

  16. Outstanding. Love it. And on the tarmac in a Nebraska cornfield, no less.... Cheers, Jerry
  17. Great job and I am glad you mentioned the difference in the MM RLM 79 between the enamal and acrylic. Got a couple of those desert schemes I want to do and I like the way yours looks. Cheers, Jerry
  18. Micro Superfilm is one of the products made by MicroScale along with their decal solvent and set. The super film is clear and is used to help save old decals or in my case ones that were cracking when coming off the sheet. Brushing the film over the decal in effect puts a new clear film over the decal. Dries in minutes. Once dry, cut the decal very close to its original clear film and apply as usual. This stuff has saved many a decal for me. I swear by it. Cheers, Jerry
  19. That looks really great Greg. You guys that can brave vac kits and WW I kits with all their rigging have my utmost admiration. You did an outstanding job. Cheers, Jerry
  20. Finished this Hasegawa 1/32 F-104S of 23 Gruppo, 5 Stormo Italian AF a few days after I finished the P-39D. Replaced the seat with a resin seat from CMK and decals are from Zotz which did not perform well. First decal off the sheet started breaking apart while moving it into position. Had to end up using MicroFilm for all the rest of them and even then a few still broke apart under the film. Cheers, Jerry
  21. Thanks Jeroen. Was about ready to PM you about it, then it took okay. Cheers, Jerry
  22. Been away for awhile. Here is my most recent completion, the Revell/Special Hobby 1/32 P-39D Airacobra "Airacutie" of the 36th FS, 8th FG at Milne Bay, New Guinea, Pacific 1943. Totally OOB and a real PITA to build. Or for me it was, anyway. Cheers, Jerry
  23. Was having trouble changing my email address, but got it to work okay. Cheers, Jerry
  24. My year ending build is the Hobby Boss 1/32 F-84E Thunderjet which I started back in the spring. Now the decals are another story. Very thin and hard to move into place without wadding up into a mess. Especially the upper wing USAF modex decal. Really struggled with that one. Being as thin as they are I found that the aluminum showed through the white on the national insignia star. Ended up peeling those off and used some I had from a Super Scale sheet that were a bit thicker and worked much better. All the little yellow access panels and data decals were lumped together in one big decal. Don't like that, so cut them down to a smaller easier to handle size. I normally use warm water for my decals but about halfway through I switched to cold water and found that the decals behaved much better. The cold water leaves the decal a bit stiffer therefore making it easier to move them in to place. All in all a fun build and am now interest in getting the "G" started. Cheers, Jerry
