  1. Hello, There were two Mks of -86s in the Luftwaffe, Mk 5 and 6. West Germany received 75 Mk 5s in 1957-1958. All were ex RCAF and were assigned to Waffenschule 10, training school to get pilots familiar with the type. About 225 Mk 6 were delivered to West Germany and some were modified or retrofitted with slated wings to improve slow airspeed maneuverability. All Luftwaffe's Sabres were painted in NATO fashion of RAF colors: Dark Green, Dark Sea Gray and Medium Sea Gray. The only difference is that the second batch of -86s had the upper colors more or less switched, Gray instead of green and vice versa. I hope this help.
  2. Nice job on the kit. Is it difficult to utilize the RB riveter? I have been wanting to try it but I am abut of a chicken hahaha.
  3. Still Day 5, I spend about three hours on the Tony today, but it was worth it.
  4. Day 5, Saturday: More painting.
  5. Day 4, Wednesday: Not much done today, just painting the prop and yellow markings on wings. About 10-12 hours of work.
  6. Thanks Guys. The fact that this kit is one of the easiest I have ever worked on helps significantly. Also, I did not used all the PE parts of the eduard set, as I wanted to make it simple.
  7. A little more than a week ago I finished a 1/32 HK Do335. It was a more or less nine month long deal mostly working on it. I wanted to build something quick and not OOB to see if I can do it. So far so good. Day 1, Monday:
  8. Gents, I truly appreciate your comments. Thank you.
  9. I have just completed what was supposed to be a quick build but it took me nine months.
  10. Hello, I am puzzled about the rigging on a camel also, but if you zoom the era photographs you will notice the turnbuckles on the rigging.
  11. You are the most fantastic modeller I ever had the chance to admire. Paulo
  12. Whatever was wrong with the kit you surely corrected it. It looks very nice.
  13. You are welcome. I will start on my camel as soon as I can.
  14. Hello, this are some of the pictures I'll use as reference.
  15. I had some issues with the Weta guys but fortunately Sprue Brothers came to the rescue.
  16. They arrived today.
  17. Holy skills Batman!
  18. Hello, Your build is giving me another reason to keep checking LSM! I enjoy scratch building but I am not even near your level of skill to attempt such a project. Good job!
  19. Hello, I haven't noticed your post until now. It is a very nice build that you're doing. Also you are giving me the idea of trying to make a group build of these aircraft. I will probably do a what if late war night fighter or a captured one. Anyway, very nice build and now I feel itchy to get one.
  20. Thanks. It took me +- 5 hours to build working little by little over a longer time.
