  2. Fantastic work, now I feel very ordinary, damn, damn!
  3. Not sure what to say really, this is one hell of a project I have to take my hat off to you this is superb work and dedication,
  4. A little more progress, done the main detail painting though I forgot the ammo tin for the 7.62 but no problem to sort later, gloss varnish on so looking a little better, Got a full day on her Saturday so should be able to get close to finishing.
  5. The camera can be very cruel, if they look ok in the flesh [plastic] then they would be good enough for me.
  6. Hi John, This is looking great.
  7. Hey this is excellent, very nice.
  8. Great work I am impressed with the work you are putting into this.
  9. So I have got the white on and begun the detail painting, not sure what I think about it yet, need to finish the detail painting and then a coat of clear gloss so I can start the washes and weather Thanks for looking.
  10. Know what you mean Ralph but there is info out there, you just got to search around but I agree it would be helpful but I decided to just throw myself in and get started.
  11. Superb, well done really like the finish and the wear and tear.
  12. They are on my list for the future, I find it hard to be completely practical, so I had to pick an aircraft that appealed to me as well, I am a big fan of a lot of the RAF types, though I really like the triplanes, I fancy a go at a few German ones later, hell what am I saying!!! slippery slope.
  13. yeah when I decided to give in I found it hard to choose, did not want to tackle something to difficult first time but I have my next few in mind if I manage to complete this one, from what every one says about the ease of construction of these kits I expect to be doing a few more and a change discipline will be good.
  14. One of the guys at the club turned up with his second WNW biplane and I succumbed, I have just ordered an SE5a Hisso and rigging thread, these WNW models look so bloody amazing and always having had a penchant for WW1 aircraft what could I do? start the car mother!!
  15. So managed to get quite a bit done today, got say the turret baskets in this kit are a nightmare, the rear basket fought me all the way! the smoke launchers are not the best either but hey ho here is how far I got, so next session will be a final check and then the pre shading using green as some items on the vehicle were not painted white, Thanks.
  16. Thanks, yeah I have a free day on her so would like to get a primer coat on as I think some of the joints will need more cleaning up yet.
  17. Ok managed to do a little more today, gave up on the kit side bins, when I remembered I had two spare Black Dog ones with stowage cast in, so after a lot of cleaning and fettling and some filler they are now on still a little more tidying up but they should look ok added the aerial mounts and lifting eyes etc, So should be able to get further tomorrow, Thanks.
  18. Really excellent work Doug, very impressed your detail work.
