I did get to the second prop, looks as if it will be ok. Some small pits were filled with a soldering iron and some solder:

JP =Thank you . I would also accept "stunning" , "brilliant" , "awesome" . But would definitely throw a hissy fit at ; "nice" , "okay" , or "I like it". Model forums , downgrading superlatives for almost 10 years now! Its rainy , backing up my work and social towers so a little bored.

Starting on the props , it looks like there is a good bit hidden in all the flash , I'll go ahead and work these up: Emerging nicely:

Nice & clean. Well done. What turnbuckles were used? -
And last but polly not least , these fig sets from Black Dog , just arrived and defining the diorama. The same ol' same ol' buncha figs all standing around for a picture , kinda lame but what can ya do!? Should look ok with some maintenance going on , bomb loading , engine work , etc. Gonna power into it late Oct. [/u RL] I am wondering if things are slowing down too much on this forum , down to one - two posts a day with almost zero new threads. Wonder why that is?

IF the kit one is too bulbous , cant I just sand it to suit.....
-
This is the first I've heard of any issue with the kit, cant be too bad then.

Still looking for detail items , came across this set: Yes I know its geared towards WW 2 , but some of it can be used. I have decided on a number of smaller ,unavailable detail which are not available, these will be scratchbuilt when the party starts, prolly late October.
-
After numerous attempts , adfjusting metal mix and temperature , I get 2 4 bladers. Ther're ugly as HELL but I'll take them:

With the limited number of WW 1 fig sets , the danger of the upcoming dios will be the similarity of the figure layouts. I cant sculpt figs so the cut and re-position will come into effect. I did manage to secure these two sets, which puts the fig count well over 20:

And finally the last half of the mould silicone , after cleanup and dam removal: They may not be pretty , but I should be able to get a couple of nice props in the end.
