  1. Smooth-On.
  2. Easy laddie! |I havent even cut the kit plastic yet! Thanks though! I 've been adding to my last posting , to keep a progression, I dont know how long the 'edit' feature will work.
  3. Thank you. I did see those and immediatly noticed the fuse caps are not separate , something I want and , a detail that can be seen in a number of photo's and how I will render mine. They look great though, into the maybe catagory! Re-visiting today to see if the work to date still looks to scale: [/uR L] Starting today with the gunsight. A Model Technologies gunsight was sandwiched between 2 Detail Master hot rod guage bezels. 4 more bezels were used for the barrel mount. I'll leave the strut between for final assy: [/u RL] Some p/e fret coiled , .8mm brass tube , and some more fret will become the cannons handles: [/ URL] Some deft file work will cleanup that errant solder. 7 hours to produce the gun sight and the firing handles. Tomorrow the mag hardware and locking mechanism. Here is the weapon to begin the day: [/u Two pieces soldered together to match: Makes a pair of flanges: Mounting bracket gets some minor detail: All in: [/ URL] The mount wasn't doin' it for me so: [/url As it sits the cannon has: Evergreen plastic , brass sheet , brass tube , stainless tube . P/E bits from: Detail Master , Model Technologies , The Model Car Garage , Top Studio , RB Motion. Parts compilation: Main detail: ...a little more detail: Final for this weekend: What it did to my bench:
  4. Very well then , Cees , winter , Phas , zavod and any and all others.Welcome. I checked those figs , its a forgone conclusion ,I 'm a sucker for a good figgie. I found a bunch more am , but we'll get into that as it comes into play. My mission statement here regarding the subject is that it will be mostly fictitious , gaining details from various areas. Some areas will be documented or visual in nature , some will not. As WNW states in all of their instructions " color schemes are contentious at the best of times " . This works for modellers such as myself , I like doing whatever I want to. We have all seen the Gotha with the finely painted skull on its nose , also I have pix of a bomber that has polished plywood for the front section of the fuse. Multiply dimensioned hexagons , polygons , both patterned and freehand-painted , blues , greens , purples , mauves , and some more definite colors like light greens and grey's are all in consideration. I have a mask set for this kit already well into reality , small hexagon patterns for the entire model are laid out and a set cut. I prefer the idea of hand painted dissimilar polyganolhexagons! As you can see the fun has already started. Equipment options are there as well , an airspeed indicator mount will be fabbed for the fuse left side. And the 2 cm cannon... So there is plenty of room for some fun , without the bloody "digital calipers" 'aving to come out. Here is where I start today:
  5. The by now familiar boxing...: References and additions: A few more additions as we go . Also a gang of figs to be done as well. Becker cannon to be scratchbuilt for the beginning. This will take a while , been mulling for years now , the cannon is well into fabrication , pix of that next.
  6. Great start. My effort may still be seen on LSP. Tons of tips in that thread. One of the better WNW kits. You WILL hafta remove the paint from all mating surface's , especially the angled edges of the cockpit floor.
  7. Thank you! Dio shots: Again with the silly
  8. I bought a lot of model helicopters ,this was in the mix:
  9. Heres the engine /guns outta that model , everything seems to be back to normal. I believe there are sets for the landing gear now as well, cast copies of the original parts from SAC and some resin stuff from Grey Matter if I remember correctly. Thank you.
  10. Okay! Weirdness aside, I cant edit my own posts, There is no reason for me to be banned here. I am not banned on BM , LSP can go $%^& themselves. Their feeling towards me. And I took my empties back to the liquor store, all six beer bottles, a years worth of drink for me. My pics disappear when I want them to: real simple. I also absorb the blame , not look around for someone else to take it, okay? The reason here is to help someone who asked for 1/24 AM for that scale. I'll just list the Am used on the kit pic above: Waldron instrument and belt sets, ammo counter and rudder pedals. Verlinden cockpit set , GI fig , pilot fig. Dry transfers which nearly wrecked the finish ,so no name. Masks by me on my sign equipment. Eduard bezels and placards and seat belts. M.V. lenses. Master M.G. Barrels. I hope this helps. Trying to post a pic is not working , instead of 'paste' I get 'inspect element' . Posted 100's of pics , never had a problem so the tutorial is not applicable . Thanks for putting up the one pic! Trying to edit my posts gets me a message from the forum saying something I don't understand. Now I can edit so things are looking up! Also when I go to 'recent posts ' It tells me there are none for the last 4 days. Got this sorted so no worries. Some minor probs, I have had others vandalize forums because of my presence ,screwing around with the inner workings of someones forum just to 'get' me , they were completely justified, in their tiny minds , something to watch out for. Thanks for the help.
  11. Cant edit ,or post pics , or see new content. Something wrong on this site for me , am I banned?
  12. Now I cant even post words
  13. Trying to list and pix for this model. Trying to post pics , this site is being unco-operative...!<a href="http://s644.photobucket.com/user/krow113/media/d-9/final15.jpg.html"target="_blank"><img src="http://i644.photobucket.com/albums/uu169/krow113/d-9/final15.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo final15.jpg"/></a>
  14. Ebay (unfortunatly) is one of the few places to get 1/24 stuff. I found from: Verlinden , Waldron , Jimmy Flintstone , Master Barrels , Eduard. All for my D-9 . Cant post any pix for some reason.

    ...hopefully not before the 0/400...
  16. Nice to see one so well done. AM is lacking for this kit and the Sea Venom as well, bit strange.
  17. With the airbrush pressure down low , practising first of course , a reasonable looking wear/scuffing can be adhieved. Here with a silver to start then toned down with a light grey: Works well for cockpit floor scuffing as well.
  18. Yaya! Seen that Spit in person it is def a 'Best Build'
  19. Find a sign shop and see if they can give you some transfer tape. It is a low tack tape used to transfer vinyl graphics. You can use it to work with the masks as it is lower in tack than the vinyl. I made a lot of masks for guys on forums , the vinyl was well received and easy to work with. De-tacking on your person will introduce skin oils to the work , I suggest using a clean piece of glass or a tile. Good luck!
  20. Many different clamps for many different uses, canya narrow it down a little?
  21. An un-staggered waist conversion set would have to be part of that too I would imagine. Good idea , as is anything B-17.
  22. Easily one of the best I have seen of this kit.
  23. Never mind all that , lets see the motorbikes!
  24. Makes the Gotha look cheap! Prolly a lot of the price is shipping these days.
