  1. Thank you Carl. It's something a bit different from the "usual" USN/MC a/c. I'm pleased that you like it!
  2. Thanks. Something a little different for a change. I'm glad you like it!
  3. Finished with this one: https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20012-faa-birdcage-corsair-rfi/
  4. Completed this one today. Pretty much OOB except for FineMolds belts and some wiring on the engine. Painted with Tamiya, White Ensign Colourcoats, and Testor's MM. It's not the scheme I had originally plan to use but, due to some "technical difficulties" I decided on this one. I think it came out okay and I'm happy with it. I hope you like it. 5. Thank you Dennis. I'm pleased that you like it. I'm happy I was able to get the old model looking good.
  6. I agree with your decision Peter. When a build is like that there's no point in sticking with it. SOD it or bin it then move on to something else. Anything Tamiya or Hasegawa would be good. Preferably in 1/32. 🙄
  7. Thank you Paul. I had 2 of their Zero kits at one time and sold them. Japanese a/c usually aren't my cup of tea. I'm not completely ruling a Zero build out of the question but it won't be soon.
  8. Painting complete except for some small touchup areas. This camo will take some getting used to on this a/c! 🙄
  9. Since I changed subjects in mid build I had to change out the top cowling flap piece to reflect the correct layout. Luckily I didn't break anything!
  10. Yes it is! I have the green applied on the uppers and will apply the grey next. We'll see how that looks. I'm sure it'll be quite different from the "usual"!
  11. Undersides painted Sky. Sure looks different from a USN bird. Top sides later today.
  12. Now that Danny (Vandy1) is sending me the decals I need, this is the a/c I will complete. About time I did a FAA Corsair!
  13. That's the one I was figuring on doing. I'll send you a PM. THANKS!
  14. Thanks Carl. Jerry is in luck as I have the needed decals. Always happy to be of help.
  15. I feel sure I have them. I'll check and PM you. I don't understand what the deal is about receiving PM's. I'll have to check it out.
  16. Thank you. The Tamiya Corsairs are really first class kits and build up to be very nice models.
