For a while I was into collecting German guns. Got too costly so gave it up. Here's one of my original Mausers in a not original crate. I'd like to sell it if anyone is interested. 🙂

Thanks Carl. I used Mr. Paint (MRP) Aotake Green Primer MRP-409. I don't know why it's called green as it sure isn't. 🙂

In keeping with my usual procedure I've pre-painted some of the parts before beginning assembly.

I figure Tamiya's is about the best. 🙂

I rarely do Japanese subjects but I have decided do this Zero kit as a "change of pace". Not gonna do a Pearl Harbor a/c but one that was in the S. Pacific and ditched in a swamp and is still there AFIK. 😐

Back on the shelf for a time. The nose has been a PITA and I'm tired of fighting it. 🫤

Dry brushing adds a lot to any raised details such as instrument panels, etc. Usually a black painted surface with raised details like instrument faces, etc can be made to pop out with some white dry brushed across them (carefully). There are a few kits with clear fuselage parts, etc but not a lot as far as I know. Trumpeter's 1/32 P-51B has clear fuselage parts. Not a accurate kit though as the nose is too "pointy". 🙂

I still have a Revell kit in the stash. Probably never will build it.

Progress as of today. The nose is next.

I started on this one a couple of years ago. I set it aside but periodically did more work on it between other builds. Right now I'm between builds so I decided to do some more work on this kit. A little here and a little there. This is how it stands today. I'll stay on it for a bit and get more done but I'll probably set it aside again while I work on something else. Who knows though, I just might stay with it! We'll see. 🙂
