  1. Thanks Kevin. I sometimes get tired of a build too but I hate to "push on" as that's a recipe for screwing up. I screw up enough anyway!!!! LOL I still like your build and think it turned out just fine. 🙂
  2. This one is up next. I found these colorized photos on line and decided, even though they are colorized and the colors MIGHT not be accurate, this will be my next build. I like the looks of the Green/Grey camo on these a/c and decided that would be a nice change from the OD or Brown/Tan we usually see.
  3. Sure would add a lot of nice detail. 🙂
  4. Thanks Martin! I'm glad you like it. 🙂
  5. All done: https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20942-monogram-148-f9f-5-the-bridges-at-toko-ricompleted/
  6. Ready for perusal. This is the OLD Monogram kit that has been in my stash for YEARS. Finally decided to build it. A easy build with few problems. The only after market stuff is the belts which I scrounged from my PE seat belt stash. Painted with MCW GSB enamel, Alclad Duraluminum, and Testor's. Markings are from Repli-Scale and Super Scale. I added BB's in the nose section so it wouldn't be a tail sitter. I hope you like it (I do!). PS- I broke the gun barrels off early on and forgot to replace them when I took some of the photos. At any rate, they are in place now.
  7. Well hell. No one is interested so I'm KEEPING IT!
  8. Thank you! Yes, it is a big 'un! 🙂
  9. Thanks Vince! Very much appreciated. 🙂
  10. I'll have to try some out Kevin. Sounds like a good thinner! 🙂
  11. Interesting! I found that if it's not thinned enough it won't spray well and looks "orange peelie". I tried Testor's enamel thinner and it works okay. Humbrol not too well. Thanks for the input Dave! 🙂
  12. I plan to use this enamel paint on the Panther but first I have a question. Have any of you used it and what was your impression? What thinner is best? Thanks.
  13. Here's how it is today. I'm waiting for a canopy mask set so I can get that done before the GDSB and silver can be applied.
  14. Looks good Kevin! Easy kit to build but that brittle plastic can be a bear. 🙂
  15. Lotsa progress!
  16. I plan to build this one as Lt. Brubaker's a/c in the movie The Bridges at Toko Ri. It's the old Monogram kit that I started on some years back but put back in the box for "later". Now is "later". It's a great movie except for the ending. 🥲
  17. Thank you Chris! I think it worked out fine. 🙂
  18. Finished: https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20929-revell-p-51-20th-fg-done/
  19. Calling this one done. Painted with Alclad and Testor's. Decals are part kit and from my decal stash. I hope you like it (I do!). 🙂
  20. Artwork of this a/c. Unfortunately I don't have the name to apply so it'll have to do without that.
  21. Painting, except for some touchups, done. Decaling is next. 🙂
  22. Painting in progress. I decided to see about fitting the nose art before proceeding. Right side seems to be okay. Now on to the left side.
  23. Alclad Gloss Black. 🙂
