  1. I'm glad it was a help Carl. I should have known better than to leave that Scotch tape on there but I'm glad to have gotten it cleaned up.
  2. I have one coming from SB and all this info will come in handy when I decide to build it. Forewarned, etc. 🤪
  3. Welcome to LSM.
  4. I hope so Peter. Fingers crossed.
  5. Thank you Peter. I'm in the process of filling in the wing/fuselage gaps using thin strip plastic and white putty. I found that my Miliput had dried out. I don't want to kill time waiting for some to be sent. The strips glued in with CA then covered with putty seems to be working okay. The REAL fun part will be having to re-shape the forward wing to blend in with the fuselage. 🤪
  6. Looks to be similar to Miliput. Luckily I have some of that and will give it a try. Thank you!
  7. Status as of now. Wings attached using CA gel and epoxy resin. Dealing with those seams will likely be a large PITA.
  8. Get mo betta soon Bill! LOL That looks to be a really nice kit and should build up to a real "looker". I just ordered one from SB!
  9. That's a good looking T-6 Scott. Nice work!
  10. Thank you Bill! I'm glad you like her.
  11. I'm not bailing out on it just yet but, if and when I do, it's doubtful another Corsair would be up next since I just finished 2 of them.
  12. True Harv but not really in the way I'd prefer. 🤪
  13. I appreciate your confidence in me Martin but I'm just not sure I want to deal with it right now.
  14. I probably will go the epoxy route Peter as I doubt CA would have enough holding power. I'll continue with the build for now but it may end up back on the SOD if it's too big of a PITA. 🤪
  15. I don't recall having any significant gaps, etc when I built my Sea Fury. Certainly nothing like the one's for this Panther.
  16. I guess it's to be expected with this type of kit but it sure is a PITA to deal with.
  17. Thanks Harv. Something a little different.
  18. Are they ever!! I don't look forward to trying to get those sorted out. 🤪
  19. Hey Scott, Did your kit have these very significant gaps, etc? Far from being a snug fit. It'll take a lot of filling and sanding to make things look right.
  20. Thank you Ralph. I may decide to do another one at some point but not in the foreseeable future.
  21. Thanks Harv! I appreciate that.
  22. I managed to remove all the goo that was left on the clear parts when I removed the Scotch tape. I re-masked with Tamiya masking tape, painted with GSB and applied some Pledge with Future. Far from perfect but a lot better now I think. Now I can continue the build.
  23. I'll send HpH a email and see about a replacement part.
  24. Yes indeed Peter. Some kit maker is missing the boat!
  25. LOL Thanks Phil. I'm glad you like it.
