Something out of the usual Paul. Looks good! -
Interesting Martin. I've never tried the salt method so I look forward to seeing how your Mug-29 turns out. 😄

I'm glad you like it Hubert, thanks! -
Thank you Bob. There's some real history there. I'm pleased that you like the model and I hope it does your father's memory justice. 😀

One thing I failed to mention earlier is the nose wheel strut. The strut provided in the kit is BACKWARDS. If you build one of these, or a T-33, you will need a after market strut set with the correct nose gear. -
Thanks Paul, I'm pleased that you like it. I was inspired to build it after reading a couple of books about the Ravens in Laos. Meeting Steve Canyon and The Lair of Raven. Both excellent reads.

Thank you Paul. This will be my 2nd T-28 build. The first one I built as a AT-28D Royal Laotian AF. It's not a shake and bake build for sure and has a bit of a cuss-factor but, in the end, it makes a impressive model I think.

Thanks Jerry! LOL 😄 -
Take a look at this sheet Harv. I think it's about what you want for national markings. I need for you to print the sheet on plain paper (this is just a trial "fitting") and decide on what size you need for the markings. I can re-size these for a proper fit on the T-33 using the measurements you provide. Take a measurement or two and let me know the height you need for the roundels and what size you need for the "flags". Easy peasy! When we have that squared away I can print a sheet of decals for you using my laser printer.

All done. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/15626-f-80c-beer-city-special-done/

All done with this one. This is a Czech Model kit that I added a resin True Details cockpit and wheel wells. Painted with Alclad Dark Aluminum and Duraluminum. Decals are Super Scale. If you followed my WIP you know about all the many headaches! I rate the cuss-factor on this one at 8 on a scale of 1-10. Remember to click on the 1st picture for best resolution and to view as a slide show. (This works for all completed work posts. 😉

I'm within minutes of finishing this one. I'll post a link here for the completed model.

I plan to do it in the yellow w/green stripes scheme which I have always liked but never modeled. So now it's time for that. It will be quite similar to this one which is privately owned and seen at various airshows.

Thanks Carl. I'm still waiting for the decals to show up. Hopefully SOON. I'm ready to finish up and proceed to my next build which is a Kittyhawk T-28B USN overall yellow with green stripes on wings and rear fuselage, 1955.

Okay Harv. I built one of those too and all the headaches that the F-80 has are still there so be prepared.

Thanks Phil.

Thank you!

I can copy and re-size these national markings then print them out on my laser printer on clear decal sheet for you if you want Harv. I thought they were Argentinian but see they are Greek. No matter.

These guys might can help you Harv. https://topnotch-success.net/
