  1. I'm glad you like it Harv, thanks!
  2. Thanks Kevin! Certainly out of the ordinary!
  3. Finished with this one. Check completed works.
  4. Finished with this one. The kit is a Tamiya P-51D/K. I clipped the wingtips and stabilizer tips, removed the fuselage fuel tank and several of the cockpit items that were removed from the real airplane. The prop is from a Trumpeter -4 Corsair and the seat belts are FineMolds. Paint is Testor's. The decals are by Draw Decals. I find building racers enjoyable and a nice change of pace. As depicted this a/c was flown by E.D. Weiner in races in 1968. I hope you like it! Remember to click on the 1st pic for best resolution and to view as a slide show. 😉
  5. I hate it when the power goes out! I bought a good generator a while back and it's really come in handy a few times. Beats the crap out of sitting around in the dark, etc. 😉
  6. I guess all you can do is hunker down and try to stay warm. No fun!🤪
  7. I look forward to that one too Peter. I hope y'all are staying warm and out of the weather! John
  8. 😉 Yes indeed.
  9. Better there than here Peter! LOL We'd be up the creek if we got that much snow. 🤪
  10. I'm glad you like it Gaz, thanks! More to come! LOL
  11. Thanks Kai! I too think it will be a eye catcher and will go along well with my other Mustang racer Bardahl Special. It's nice to get a change of interest and build a whole new genre of warbirds. I'm figuring on a Hasegawa 1/48 P-38L next. It wasn't a racer but was a "airshow" aircraft. Check it out.
  12. THAT'S what I call toucas freezin' weather Carl!!! 🙄
  13. I hope y'all come through okay Peter. NOT something I'd want to have to face! 🤪
  14. Wherever they are, or were, I'm not about to click on 'em.
  15. Thanks Harv! I'm just about to go cross-eyed now! LOL 😄
  16. Thanks Peter. Sure is different isn't it? LOL
  17. Thanks Rob! Me too! A whole new outlook on the airplane builds.
  18. More progress on the decals.
  19. Since you posted that on my Mustang build and didn't state you were asking about a CORSAIR canopy I naturally thought you were referring to a MUSTANG canopy. What version of the Corsair? Birdcage, -1A, or -1D? PM me on this Kevin.
  20. Since I've built several Tamiya P-51's I have a bunch of extra canopies since they supply 4 or 5 different versions in each kit.
  21. It's coming along pretty well Peter. Those checks are very touchy and tend to curl up which can be a problem AND a cuss-factor. I'm glad they are only on the fuselage and not the wings too! LOL 🤪
  22. LOL Certainly different!
  23. Thanks, I'm glad you like it!
  24. Decaling underway. Tedious is a understatement!
