Threw a fit?? I just tried to point out I had intended the thread to show some of my militaria items which I thought would be interesting to you guys. I hadn't expected anyone to add their own stuff and it did aggravate me some. I now see I should have labelled the thread differently. So now give ME a break.

Actually it was a PITA to build. All due to the poor fit of the cockpit assembly. Other than that not a big deal.

I built this kit a couple of years ago and never was very happy with the results. It's been sitting on the shelf gathering dust and getting broken so now I think I will re-do the markings, etc. I intend to do the Hurricane flown by Kuttlewascher of Number 1 Squadron in 1942 on night intruder ops. Not much work involved other than removing the chin scoop, adding the short scoop, making some repairs and doing the repaint, etc. I have the decals so that won't be a problem.

Thank you Carl! Yes it is fresh out of the paint shop. For some reason I just couldn't bring myself to dirty it up any. Nice and shiny!!! LOL

I decided to finish this one in a nice clean finish with minimal weathering. I might go back later and overspray with clear semi-flat and do a bit of weathering but for now I like it like it is. Eye catching (at least for me it is). After market are the resin wheels, seat belts and the decals. Painted with MM Dark Sea Blue (my favorite color!). This a/c was assigned to HQSS-22 on Ie Shima in 1945. Probably saw a lot of action during the Okinawa campaign. I hope you like the model. Be sure to click on the pics for the best resolution.
