I like it too Harv but I like the PV-2 Harpoon more. Too bad we don't have a kit in 1/48.
-
LOL Peter! Should make a nice looking model.

This will be my next project after setting the Corsair aside for a while. As you can see I had started the build a while back so now I'll pick it up where I left off. Should be a nice build using some Vector after market cowlings, etc.

As sometimes happens I've gotten tired of this build. When that happens to ME it's a formula for aggravation and screwups. So, I've put it aside for now and will look around for something else to work on (certainly don't have a shortage of kits to choose from). I'll get back to it LATER. 😐

Thank you Peter.

Yes Gaz, their rivet holes are a bit over done at times. 😐

LOL Phil. Thank you. 😀

Thanks Kevin. Those were my thoughts also.

Thanks Carl. One of these days I'll build the other one in my stash. -

Okay guys, just for grins, this is my Revell 1/144 USS Cobia that I built several years ago. I added a bunch of after market stuff like the 5" deck gun and some figures. I decided to equip it with 2 40mm guns instead of the one 40 mm and one 20 mm as supplied in the kit. I had a idea it might have been modified in this way right at the end of the war as others were. I've always liked our WW II Gato and Balao class subs and was very pleased Revell issued this kit. I have another that I hope to build at some point. -
Thanks Harv, I appreciate that.

Thanks guys. Remember, I had a head start with the cockpit when I resumed work on this kit. 😀 I have to say, I'm not really all that pleased with the engine but it is what it is at this point. Oh well....😐
-
Making progress. It's hard to tell but the cockpit is actually interior green but, in the photos it looks like yellow zinc chromate. Oh well.

LOL Thanks Phil.

Agreed Ernie. I'm going to let it sit for a while and see what comes out via after-market such as a new cockpit. I'm in no hurry to build it.

Yep. A large PITA! LOL

I decide the copper wires I used were just too stiff and were hard to bend resulting in them popping off the harness. I pulled all of them off and used lead wire instead which is much more malleable. That's what I had used in previous builds with good results.

I decided to get the PE flaps so I wouldn't have to drill out all those little holes. That certainly would drive ME cross eyed!

Agreed Kevin! LOL

Thanks Peter.

Thanks Gaz!
