Thanks! I have 4 commercial cases but they are horizontal instead of vertical. I'd sure like to get one like the one shown. If I could find one that would fit my budget I'd jump on it.

I have 6 display cases but now they are all full. I need another one but have just about run out of room! LOL For now I have to bunch the models up a bit closer together but still have some outside the cases.

LOL Rog. Interesting formulas! I expect it to take at least a couple of months but we'll see as time goes on.
-
I hope to do it justice.

LOL Rog. This one looks like it will take quite a bit longer than a Corsair, Mustang or Spitfire. My intentions are to take my time and do it right. (I have to say, Tamiya 1/32 kits are hard to beat for enjoyment of build, etc.)

Thanks Carl! No big rush.

This one has been calling my name ever since I bought it so now I'm going to get with the program and build it. A truly magnificent kit . My plan is to build it as a a/c from RCAF number 418 squadron with black undersides. Thanks go out to Carl for providing the needed decals. I'm starting to paint the grey-green interior parts for now.

Yes it is!

I agree 100%!!!!

Thanks Carl! It's not shown on their website so I guess they never redid it. If you aren't going to use "Daisey Mae" I'd take those off your hands. As I want to do a black undersides a/c those ought to fill the bill! PM on the way my friend.

I would like to do a 418 Mossie but the only decal sheets I have found are 1/24 and 1/48. Of course I need 1/32. I just don't understand why they didn't do it in 1/32 also. As a alternate I could build it as a night fighter but haven't found any decals for that either

How about the Tamiya FB Mk VI Mosquito?!!!! I have always liked the FB versions better than the bombers so I think that is what I will do. I have it out and looked over the sprues and really think it will fill the bill for next up.

I hate to say it but this one is back on the SOD. I just lost my enthusiasm for it and decided it would be best to put it on hold and come back to it at a later date. Undecided on what is next.

F4U-1A finished!
JohnB replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Thanks Ron. The main gear wheel wells were underside color which was white. The gear doors, main and tail, were white also. Tail wheel interior would be green zinc chromate as would be the cockpit. I recommend you get a copy of Dana Bell's "F4U-1 Corsair Vol.2" Aircraft pictorials #8. Excellent info there. -
Kitty Hawk North American T-28 Trojan. Thoughts?
JohnB replied to Sir Desmond Glazebrook's topic in Modelling Discussion
It's a nice kit but the cowling is fiddly. With some work and lots of patience it will go together okay. I built mine as a RLAF a/c used by the Ravens. -
Thanks Jeff. Making progress!

I hope all goes well Carl!

I'm still working on the cockpit but hope to have some photos soon.

I just lost interest in the PV-1 for now. I intend to get back to it at some point.

Masochistic build, the 1/48 Fonderie Miniatures Halifax III
JohnB replied to Wingco57's topic in LSM 1/48 Work in Progress
You have a LOT more patience than I have! I look forward to seeing this one finished. -
Certainly a BIG change from TOS. A breath of fresh air!
-
It's on the shelf of "to return to later".

We will see Phil. It is such a fine kit I'll have to take my time and a lot of care when building it. It's almost, but not quite, a sin to build it! LOL
