  1. LOL It's mostly runoff from my roof.
  2. Very little freezing rain but a lot of snow and sleet. It's starting to thaw just a little but it'll be a while before it's gone. We're still getting night time lows in the teens which isn't helping! Still no water due to broken city mains, etc. As my youngest son used to say when he was very little and we'd try to feed him some baby food he didn't like "Can't like it!"
  3. My front steps.
  4. Wouldn't you know it. As soon as I finish my old Tamiya Lanc HK does this. LOL That's okay though, the Hasegawa kit is a good kit and I enjoyed the build.
  5. Yep, I suppose so Peter.
  6. Things are supposed to get better here tomorrow although the low tonight and tomorrow night is forecast as 16. Still too damn cold! At least I too have lights and heat, just NO FRIGGIN' WATER. And due to all the snow on my steps that has turned into 3" thick ice sheets I can't go out past my porch. Now they are telling us we should have SOME water by Sunday. Give us a break already!!!!
  7. Thanks Peter. Unfortunately that will not work.
  8. Nope. SOL At least it seems the worst is past us although it will stay very cold at night. I think the main cause of the water problem is the city wasn't prepared for how cold it got (1 degree). Lots of distribution lines froze and broke plus the elevated water tanks are mostly empty. Latest prognostication from our esteemed mayor is up to 48 hours and maybe more before we can see relief. I have a small supply of drinking water on hand but it won't last long. I might have to try to get to a store and pick some up IF THEY HAVE ANY. BUMMER!
  9. You are welcome.
  10. I'm not stupid. I had 'em all running last night but they froze anyway. Likely due to the low water pressure we are having.
  11. Since all my water lines are frozen I'm having to melt snow in order to be able to flush the crapper. I sure will be glad when they un-freeze! Now that some of the stuff on the roof is melting a bit just stick a bucket under it. No labor to speak of involved.
  12. I use what I call "Scale Black" which is a mix of MM flat black and flat white. Just enough white to lighten it up a bit. I just eyeball it until I get the shade I want. You don't have to use MM as any brand should do. I just prefer MM. Hope this helps.
  13. Indeed!!! A Corsair on the SOD shelf! LOL
  14. Yes, a bit more snow and more to come. Right now it's sleeting. Rather rare is a understatement! We MIGHT get a sprinkling of snow every winter but THIS is unheard of.
  15. Well crap! Now my water lines have frozen even though I let them run. City is experiencing low water pressure and we are under a boil advisory. I'm glad I have enough H2O in my kettle for my morning coffee!
  16. Yep, they do but I'm out of room for more cases.
  17. I hadn't realized I'd built so many until I decided I better count 'em! LOL P-51's and Corsairs are like rabbits around here!
  18. Yes indeed Peter. This will be my 9th! Close behind the Corsairs LOL.
  19. Thanks Gus.
  20. I hear that!! We in NW Louisiana are in the same boat.
  21. Our low last night was 1 degree! Right now it's a scorching 20 degrees. We have about 3 inches of snow and expect more snow and freezing rain late this evening. That's what I call toucas freezing weather! Pretty darn cold for NW Louisiana. I'm keeping my feet and lower legs warm by wearing a pair of my Luftwaffe flying boots. Still a useful item after something like 80 years.
  22. Thanks Martin. As you can see from the photos he evidently flew more than one a/c (or the markings were changed at some later date). I'm choosing the earlier markings for my model.
  23. I have always liked the Bout One Mustangs of the ROK AF so now that Tamiya has provided us with the needed decals and bits needed to build one I'm going to get with the program and model this one flown by Dean Hess. Should make a eye catching model.
  24. Thanks Peter. I've come to a point where I can't do any more until the cowlings I ordered show up. Tracking says Friday. Maybe, maybe not. At any rate, I have to have SOMETHING to work on so I'm starting another Tamiya P-51D. I'll have something in WIP shortly.
  25. That's going to be a really good looking F-16 Peter!
