  1. Anything that makes it easier, etc.
  2. My tried and true procedure when starting a new build is to paint as many parts as possible on the sprue. This makes things easier as I go along. I can always touch up whatever areas need it like where parts are cut from the sprue. No problemo.
  3. Finish it up Phil. I'd love to see the model finished.
  4. Yep, it's a SOB alright. I expect even the most expert builders would agree. It makes you appreciate all the more the Tamiya and Hasegawa kits, just to name two.
  5. Jeff. Whenever you get to your build you will see why I really like the kit(s). Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to provide answers.
  6. Tamiya certainly does a great job. I wish some of the other manufacturer's would take note and make changes to the quality of their kits. I look forward to seeing your Spitfire.
  7. You have made some nice progress on it James. Go for the finish line.
  8. I guess it's just a kit that has more than it's fair share of problems. I wish I had never bought the dam thing.
  9. That's just the way it goes. I'll revisit it some time in the future.
  10. LOL Ernie. I too like resin kits/accessories as long as they are good quality and don't require a lot of "make work". I built two HpH resin P-63's which were no walk in the park but were enjoyable builds with very good moldings and details.
  11. That P-61 has fought me tooth and nail from day one and I've just had enough. This hobby is supposed to be fun and that SOB definitely is not fun (unless you are a masochist). I'm looking forward to enjoying the Corsair build.
  12. Overall GSB for sure but specific markings are undecided right now.
  13. Well I'll be damned! I like to have fallen out of my chair when I saw Futter's post. Here I was thinking all that BS was behind us. PLEASE, no more!!!!!!
  14. It's just one of my favorite a/c PLUS a outstanding kit.
  15. Wish I did Smitty!
  16. After all the hair pulling and cussing while TRYING to build that SOB Hobby Boss P-61 I have decided to get some really enjoyable build time for a change. Time for ANOTHER Corsair! Some of you already know my penchant for the Tamiya Corsairs as I've built NINE already from the -1, the -1A, and the -1D. This will be a nice change and I am more than ready for it.
  17. Yep. After I put it on the SOD I walked away ........ and decided to build another Corsair! LOL Just the thing to get the bad taste out of my mouth.
  18. Thanks you Jeff. I really appreciate your nice comments. That is one of the main things that makes building enjoyable.
  19. Okay. I have HAD IT with this SOB. Back to the SOD while I still have some hair.
  20. That is fine by me. I prefer it that way anyway.
  21. I left the "other" site a while back too. Sounds like a LOT of sour grapes over there now. Over and out!
  22. Thank you Rob. I appreciate the nice comments.
  23. That's coming along really well. Should be a real beauty!
  24. Thanks! I wish I had known that before I scratched mine. Oh well. Thanks Danny. One of Trumpeter's better kits.
