  1. Scott .. brilliant! No question - a build to be proud of and she surely will be the Queen of your collection. 🏆
  2. John Beautiful 109 - fit and finish is perfect. 🏆
  3. John Another awesome 109 for the collection. Some mighty fine work with a perfect finish. 🏆
  4. Scott ... Nice! Now you are set and ready.
  5. Just never saw that before on an Eduard kit. maybe the kit was a re-release from another manufacturer rather then one of their design.
  6. Kev Always something for sure but at least you're in the home stretch and it's going to be a nice present.
  7. Carl Nice progress on the figures and glad you are able to get a replacement arm - excellent customer service.
  8. Carl. I've often wondered myself about dry brush paint and will have to give them a try. Looking forward to your mini-review.
  9. Carl Never knew about the Despise brushes and an interesting approach to keeping them in tip top shape by replacing the brush tip. Despise product line continues to grow with a lot of innovated products.
  10. Rob, very much appreciated - surely seems as if the ejection seat is going to be the start of the project. I'm still searching for the three replacement W&N Kolinsky brushes and I'm also going to buy a few of the artist makeup brushes for general work. Just been spoil over the years and just nothing comes close to the Kolinsky Red Sable brushes. I do clean them regularly with a special brush clean that also adds moisture to the sable and keeps a beautiful point.
  11. Kev, my apologies for not including the whole gang and will be buying a bunch this week.
  12. Kev, X3 - nice scheme for sure and will be following for the entire journey.
  13. Martin, nice start with using the mesh screen to replace the kit part - looks so much better. Plenty of time to cross the finish line - no rushing and no pressure for sure.
  14. PW Flying through the Sherman build for sure - looking mighty good.
  15. Chris Isn't that the way - all that work and almost nothing can be seen. Just love the saying; well, we know it's n there - but the older we get, remember that is close to an impossibility. Have to admit, that's a first for me with the landing gear tunnel being too thick and preventing the wing from closing correctly. Same on Eduard for zero QC on that one. How long the counterbalances will stay on - maybe a day at most - born to be broken off for sure.
  16. Mike Nothing like the start of a project with the smell of cutting plastic. Nice work fitting the CMK cockpit tub which has some nice looking details. Following all the way
  17. Thanks Chris so much, still in shock as to the seat's detail. 3D printing just keeps amazing me as so much of the new AM is now printed and it's a whole new world, especially for us old geezers. Up, will be buying a set of the 'nail-art brushes' and see how they work out.
  18. Thanks MIke I really had a ball painting the seat and treated it exactly like a figure, mounted on a base while I painted it. I have one more 3D printed ejection seat in the stash and it's for my GWH A-10C and I'm looking forward to painting it as well in the not too distant future, when the Wart Hog is back front and center on the bench,
  19. Thanks Kev, very much appreciated. Your 'maybe choices' sound mighty tempting and surely will be different entries.
  20. Thanks Hubert Now I do understand the why's to the three fuselage main parts and completely agree that such techniques as slide molding is not what SH is about. Will be checking out the brushes and see what I can find and trying some out. This year, I bought a few AK brushes and Tamiya brushes, and the quality needed just wasn't there. Maybe I set an unrealistic limit of $20 per brush and I'll follow yours and Kev's advice.
  21. Mike Thanks for the background story and it was quite a story. Agreed it would make a nice diorama and maybe in a small convoy with more figures and clutter. Still would like to see you do your entry as originally planned.
  22. So very well done, as the fit and finish looks perfect and another 110 is in the books - the collection grows.🏆
  23. John So very well done and what a trio. The ProModeller being a much lighter gray, does look a bit whitish next to the other two 110's. What really i nice as each of the 110's have a different nose arrangement adding to the interest as well.
