  1. Here on the island in the NY Metropolitan area, we only had a partial eclipse and it never became that dark. Ernie, you certainly had the full monte.
  2. Ron I'm right with Carl, total jealousy. Please after your GB WNW build, clear your bench and dive into the Cobra Coupe. 🏆
  3. Mark Your new technique for the burners cans looks spot on the money.
  4. John Going to be an awesome build for us to follow and for you to enjoy. Perfect choice of scheme as well. I bought the kit as soon as it was out and for whatever reason, other builds keep jumping in front but that is going to change, as I'm sure your build thread will get mine over to the bench sooner then later. I would have to agree with Carl that the kit share more then a few similarities with Tamiya's 32nd scale offering and way more detailed then their 48th scale kits.
  5. Mark Nice steady progress ... looking mighty good.
  6. Scott We've all been there and done that. I think it just comes with the territory.
  7. Mike Some mighty good decisions and I can feel your uneasiness about the wing attachment. Somehow, we have to wonder how kit manufacturers can make such bad decisions and not think out such an import step through with a better solution. Yup, I know it's easy to become frustrated and avoid the bench and kit. But you're way too far along in conquering the kit having overcome so many obstacles already. Just stick with it. Who knows, someday, I might even return to the Songbird - I still have it.
  8. Carl Nice progress on filling in those huge gaps and from the photographs, you have it completely under control.
  9. Terrific progress and right with Gus and Chris; the Nordon Bombsight looks awesome.
  10. martin Thank you for posting the crisp and detailed photographs. The Ford GT40 and Vettes just blew me away. 🏆
  11. Thanks Chris and I'm right with you and completely agree, while the Vallejo metals are good, not in the class of Alclad; as, they still look more like paint then replicating metal. As far as my eye for detail and finish, no question yours are easily the equal.
  12. Mark Right with Martin, terrific progress and this phase of the paintwork, marks the start of the home turn.
  13. Thanks Mark, very much appreciated. Glossing is done; a bit over two hours of shooting and tomorrow with any luck. I'll start decaling the Big Cat.
  14. John Fingers crossed for sure 🤞
  15. Carl Awesome build and the lighting brings her up to a whole new level. beautiful work. 🏆
  16. Mark Nice progress and looking good, especially the weathering which suits how the heavy-duty machinery is going to be used.
  17. Ralph Going to be a terrific build project to follow and very much appreciated the history and bio - adds so much to the overall build. .
