Sikorsky JRS-1 with AM (Eduard) 1/72
Peterpools replied to Landlubber Mike's topic in The Great Twins Broup Bluild
Mike Amazing progress and the Big Sikorsky is looking so good. Pulling so hard and absolutely fingers crossed, you'll be across the finish line before the deadline. -
PW You're almost there, keep it going as the Jaguar is so close to crossing the finish line. Nothing like the older kits from the 70's (back in the 70's) to make us appreciate what we have now. But somehow back then, they were just so enjoyable to build, where we didn't worry about anything other then getting it built and on the display shelf - no display cases back then either. It was all about fun. My turning point came when I found the Squadron Shop in Syosset and joined a local IPMS club. Filling seams and air brushing were new found skills and those two skills were the heart of my modeling for years to come.

Chris I know this has been an ongoing medical issue and facing it head on in my book, is one tough act. If it were me, I doubt I could have done what you have done. Fingers crossed and wishing you a full recovery my friend.

Dave Nice work on applying the Red Fox Details. I'm going to buy a bottle of the Quinta 3d Decal Glue and give it a try as since I started using their decals years ago, my glue of choice has been Micro Krystal Kleer and I'm curious as to the difference in application.

Mark Pretty cool for sure

Mike Nothing as good as when you're riding with the modeling gods. Your POA for finishing the Big Sikorsky sounds perfect and the rigging is absolutely the way to go. Looking forward to the ceremonies as you cross the finish line. -

Mike So glad you were able to perfectly fix the needed disc repairs , primer looks perfect and smooth as silk. Looking forward to seeing the paint work completed as your Big Sikorsky is going to be an eye catcher and a Queen in your display case. -

Carl Just wish I was of the generation that could dive into 3D printing, as it surely is the future. Enjoy your printer and looking forward to the details and parts you will be creating. -
Dave Some mighty nice AM additions - great to see you are going all out and raising the detail level of an already awesome kit.

I'll be working on the AH-1Z Viper until a day or so before the GB starts, allowing time to clean up and organize the bench and studio and carefully box up the Viper until my entrie(s) are completed. Then it's back to the Viper. -
John Another superb build - as always, a top-notch addition to your collection.

John Outstanding work. Fit and finish is perfect to my eye. Nice work on those pesky antennas' - I know they an be a handful. 🏆

Kev Thinking about when Phil Flory first brought out his washes, most likely I added a few years but I'm sure it was over ten years ago; just seems they have always been around. -

Kev Sweet! Some mighty nice and fast work on the B-25. I've used Flory washes fory decades and and they are my go to panel line wash. I normally use them over a gloss finish when I just want the panels lines highlighted. Semi matt and even matt, leaves an weathered effect as the wash clings to the textured finished. 🏆
