Eduard 1/32 Bf-109E re-start
Peterpools replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
John Nice choice for your next build. I've had my eye on the Eduard kit for some time and your build just might help me finally decide. Alway amazed at how you can print out your own decals. I've tried once and failed miserably. -
Chris Looking mighty good and the stencil work could drive a man insane! Reskit AN/ALQ-87 ECM pod is awesome looking and some terrific customer service on getting you out the missing decals. Just checked the dates for the GB and it ended yesterday. But I would hope Martin could give you and Carl and extension considering the amount of work you both are doing.

Paul Nice progress and looking mighty good. -
Carl WOW, great detail with adding a 'real' MLG retraction spring ... looks mighty good.

Thanks, Kev, so very much appreciated. Felt mighty good working in 32nd scale again and being able to actually see the details. All of the placards are from the Quinta set and took a good many hours to add, including prepping the Tamiya parts - well worth the time and careful work. I always use Micro Krystal Kleer to glue the details in place and when I reached for one of the four bottles I've had in the glue draw for years, I discovered they were all dried up and binned. From now on, I'll only order one bottle at a time, as it takes me a year or so to use it up.

T-28 rework RFI
Peterpools replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
John Awesome - redo paint and decal work are flawless. Love the color scheme - one of my favorites. 🏆 -
FINALLY, BACK TO 32ND SCALE TAMIYA SPITFIRE Mk IXc My GWH A-10C build is on hold as I decided wait not only for the Quinta cockpit set to be released but also a few bottles of needed MRP paints. The Tamiya Spitfire Mk IXc in the stash kept calling my name and I knew it was time to finally return to 32nd scale for a good portion of my planned builds, other then jets, which are too large for my display cabinet. My intensions for the build are my normal practice of mostly an OOB build with the exception of adding a Quinta Cockpit Set and a few other pieces of AM: Barracuda’s cockpit door with crowbar, replacing the kit rubber tires and wheels and a set of Eaglecal decals. I’ve been as eager as ever to hit the bench since starting the Spit and a few nights have already worked until the wee hours of the morning. Following the instruction sequence, construction started with the front office and I constantly kept referring to the Quinta instructions, making sure the needed Tamiya parts were prepared for the Quinta details. Interior paints: MRP-LPG Gray Primer MRP -111 WWII RAF Interior Grey Green The front office was lightly weathered using Tamiya Dark Brown and Black PLW’s and some dry brushing. The seatbelts and Sutton harness I’m still working on are from the Quinta set, that needed to slightly modified, as they tend to snap if bent or folded. Still working on the front office – just taking my time and enjoying the journey.

F-15DJ Kai or Eagle Plus- Finished!
Peterpools replied to BlrwestSiR's topic in The Great Twins Broup Bluild
Carl, you surely almost got me but then I remembered your B-24 build and all the fuselage fit issues you had and resolved. That's some pile of leftover bits and parts for future projects. ! -
McLaren MP4/6 Ayrton Senna Fujimi 1/20
Peterpools replied to DocRob's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Rob Nice to see the McLaren back and underway. Sometimes the compromises made are the only way to keep moving forward and cross the finish line. -
Nice progress John. Sure, looks like by tomorrow you T-28 will cross the finish line.
-
John Looking mighty good and I just love the new paint scheme. Surely, your T-28 is going to be a beauty, as it is one of my two favorite schemes - the other is all yellow trainer scheme.

1/18 Hawker Sea Fury - probably VX620..
Peterpools replied to airscale's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Peter Meticulous work - simply a pleasure to follow your progress. I've now built two Sea Fury's and my Fisher build has my favorite scheme, which surely is an eye catcher in the display case. -
Carl Nice progress on the gear - meticulously done. I completely forgot they were brass, as I built mine many moons ago. She is a beauty waiting to become the Queen of your collection, as mine has been for years.
-
Scott Looking so good and finally in the paint booth - aw3esome progress and I'm right with Rob. Always happens that way, your back is 'fighting back' and painful, a holiday weekend with a ton to do. Just take it as easy as you can. BTW, absolutely agree about the blast deflectors - not a chance they wouldn't get knocked off or food for the carpet monster before they ever made it to the Cutlass.
