  1. I have just joined the forum so I am being nosy and looking at everything. I am particularly interested in your figure because I intend to get the seven man RAF bomber crew for my HK Lancaster. I think you have done a terrific job on those Americans and they will surely compliment your B17 David.
  2. Looks good so far and like many Brits, I'm still waiting for the delivery of my 'pre-order' I for one will be watching with interest and already have ideas of how things need to be checked and improved such as the IP from Airscale
  3. I would like to say hello to the membership. I have joined because I have pre-ordered the HK Lancaster and wish to learn/share ideas and solution to issues that will present themselves. I have built a couple of 32nd vehicle kits but cannot see a topic listing for this type of build, any pointers would be appreciated. Looking forward to 'meeting you' along the way David
  4. I have read too many accounts of the air war to believe that this curtain was pulled over to protect against flak ?, a sheet of material would serve no purpose against shards of metal The crew in the cabin had all eyes looking out for other aircraft and potential falling bombs and having such a sheet would not be conducive to such. The British bomber crews never had flak jackets like the Americans but I do believe the ABC operators worn something similar for protection.
  5. Many thanks for that Carl. I shall grab the set after Xmas.
  6. As I am new to this scale, but not the Lancaster, where can one obtain Airscale stuff please ??
  7. One would have hoped that with the price of the kit there would have been no need for 'after-market' but I will welcome some of the stuff such as the brass gun barrels
  8. I thought the curtains within the cockpit roof were for shielding the crew from the sunlight ??
