Undoubtedly there will be a mask for the HK kit. I can only guess that this will be around £15 if not more I for one, cut a mask for my 48th Lancaster, canopy and turrets, and I can see that it would be even easier on a 32nd with the clearly defined lines. I even put in a canopy frame in the 48th which again I shall consider (photo to follow) for the 32nd. Personal choice I know but it a case of doing it slowly and checking regularly that it touches the cockpit frame as it should. David

Only seat cushions in a Lancaster are those located in the turrets but they were pretty basis and gave the mid-upper and rear gunners a numb bum after sitting on them for several hours -
I must be crazy, B-24J on the bench.

Or . . . turret glazing does look kinda 'frosted' on a cold Autumn morning does it not ?? . . . Therefore I suggest a touch of weathering to reflect a slight snow fall or a frost on the ground Issue resolved. I thank you. Lol David -

I would be interested in some provenance of such Thanks David -
Hi there Just joined so I am looking thro the numerous topics . . . . Is there somebody on this forum that will produce decals on an individual basis with the view to producing them for any other buyers ?? I have researched a number of Lancasters (from a Squadron) and would very much like to have one done for the 32nd HK Lancaster :-)

Great video Thanks must go to Bomber Command museum at Nanton for under taking such a conversion
-
This is a conversion from Tamiya's Austin 10 Tilly vehicle. The RAF didnt use the Austin on the home front on RAF stations so I thought I would attempt a conversion to the Hillman Tilly. First time in this scale and it was built to complement the forthcoming HK Lancaster. I could list the mods undertaken but you could probably see the differences from the Austin just by looking. Many thanks for looking in.

Looks good so far and like many Brits, I'm still waiting for the delivery of my 'pre-order' I for one will be watching with interest and already have ideas of how things need to be checked and improved such as the IP from Airscale -
I would like to say hello to the membership. I have joined because I have pre-ordered the HK Lancaster and wish to learn/share ideas and solution to issues that will present themselves. I have built a couple of 32nd vehicle kits but cannot see a topic listing for this type of build, any pointers would be appreciated. Looking forward to 'meeting you' along the way David

I have read too many accounts of the air war to believe that this curtain was pulled over to protect against flak ?, a sheet of material would serve no purpose against shards of metal The crew in the cabin had all eyes looking out for other aircraft and potential falling bombs and having such a sheet would not be conducive to such. The British bomber crews never had flak jackets like the Americans but I do believe the ABC operators worn something similar for protection. -
Many thanks for that Carl. I shall grab the set after Xmas.

As I am new to this scale, but not the Lancaster, where can one obtain Airscale stuff please ??
-
One would have hoped that with the price of the kit there would have been no need for 'after-market' but I will welcome some of the stuff such as the brass gun barrels

I thought the curtains within the cockpit roof were for shielding the crew from the sunlight ??
