  1. Looking good !! Looks light years ahead of the old Tamiya clonk .
  2. Absolutely superb , on Apple TV .
  3. Absolutely cracking pony that one !๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  4. Break out the scourges !
  5. Can you imagine how insane it would be, to be inside a metal bell when the cannon fires.
  6. Is this going to have the crazy Swedish Splinter scheme ....talking of masochism ?
  7. Nice one , if you ever get to France , maybe look up La Coupole in Normandy , it was V2 underground Factory & Launch site , never went /live, but scary stuff. Link
  8. Excellent. , and Martin will put me up to save on the hotel ? Awesome offer will be on skyscanner today ๐Ÿ˜„ Iโ€™ll bring a few mates as well
  9. I built this few years back , the engine covers are a small challenge to ahve closed as it's designed to all hang open . The Arado is apparently similar . If you want them shut it's just a matter of shaving the cylinder heads. It's not a particularly hard job TBh , just trim them back below the line of the circular support . Rest went together fine . ....& I know Prillers wasn't an A8
  10. TBH I'm not convinced by black primer on models , in 1:1 car/bike painting I was taught to use white or at a push, grey primer for silver/ metallics . I've got some Alcad Gloss Black which I chose not to use this time around. It seems to more a modelling thang. I'm down to hand tinting individual access panels at the moment ...for the love of Pete .... ๐Ÿ™„
  11. Impressive scenery! You just donโ€™t get that in the UK
  12. More than likely . It's just a thought , if you don't try something new you never progress I feel ? Last time I built this , I was deeply unhappy with the lack of effect I achieved using the traditional "build it then paint it" method , so it's a shot to nothing in some ways . Small progress today .....20g of lead shot in the nose , jet pipes coming together. Used flory wash for the soot in the cans , though jack all of this is visible one in place hence not loosing sleep over those ejection pin marks
  13. If you can hack it ....I can recommend yoga is a great way to keep from seizing up . I did it a lot when i was driving 50k miles a year and used to cry on climbing out of the car. ....although you have to pick an age appropriate group to avoid being the only middle aged man in a group of 20 something yummy mummies. Unless thats your thing .....๐Ÿฅท
  14. Nice call , I'm going to have to watch the film now ๐Ÿ˜€ I've done dioramas before trying to match newsreel or stills ....it drove me nutty , so I tend to do "inspired by" rather than try to match blade of grass for blade of grass anymore๐Ÿ™„ I don't know what i was thinking some years .!
  15. Pretty bombas. Is the aircraft ready for take off yet ?
  16. Insanity x2 as ever, but wonderful work and research Jeroen .
  17. I'm guessing this is all modelling in one hand and watching the screen next to you for the reference pics ?
  18. Looking great. Might need to watch the Madalorian again .
  19. I love this sort of work , fictional but 100% plausible . You're making the blends look far easier than I suspect they are . ๐Ÿ‘
  20. I'm making this all up as I go along , just reckon masking two flat sides is easier than one round , based on the Mig 21 and Sabre Dog I did in 2021 . The top spine of the aircraft is all black on the final paint job, so easy ish to fix / fill / paint . The vert stabiliser will be painted and just slot in The belly is a bit harder but again , just some ....rather than lots of masking . The fit on this thing is reasonable , it's no Tamiya , but it doesn't require a shed of filler. Also it's pretty low parts count so not too fiddly. Tremblers ....maybe its that lightning flash but still the sexiest theme to be seen in.
  21. If you can hack subtitles these classic Finnish War films are very good. All based of the same authors work I believe . Winter war (Talvisota) 1989 - Link imdb Ambush ( Rukajรคrven tie) 1999 - Link Imdb Unknown Soldier (Tuntematon sotilas)_ 2017 - Link Finland fought its own war against the Soviet Union , citizen non professonal soldiers of all ages, with little support from outside the country and mostly kicked the bear's ass . These films reflect this well , and tell a far different story of war than Hollywood. They also go on for three hours and everyone looks like Maarti !๐Ÿ˜€ Makes me want to own a Suomi KP31 .!
