Just got this today. I've bottled out of the idea of going as far as the Bailey bridge but I've decided to see if I can do a representation of this... Will be a bit of delay to getting at it as unfortunately my mother-in-law passed on today, so next couple of weeks will be family time.

I'm with you Rob. I get annoyed watching people running with headphones in as it's the quickest way to an accident I can think of. After 40 years of running I can still judge my pace to within 10 secs per mile without any bother. Bugs the hell out of my wife though.... 😉

Thanks fellas. I'm not sure I'd have thought of a helo if I hadn't got it as a present from my wife's sister and her partner. The Huey is good in that the simple rotor means it doesn't take up too much room in the cabinet. I think anything with 3 or 4 blades would have to be done with them folded or take up a huge amount of room. Hate to think how much space that Tarhe would eat up. 😄 -

Right, I'm calling this one done. Just a quick (by my standards!) OOB build of a kit I got as a present. Overall pretty happy with it as the first helo I've built since the Airfix 1/72 Gazelle as a kid. Goes together well and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the decals. Plan was to do the NMF P47 next but as the post above indicates I may be distracted by the diorama idea! 😁 -
The Eduard panel does seem to have their characteristic 'graininess'. It's hard to get a good look at the Quinta one in the picture. What's the problem with it Jeroen?

I'm thinking of starting my Bronco a34 Comet next as I want to build it as a 2nd Fife and Forfar Yeomanry unit as a great uncle served with them through northern Holland and Germany. I'd like to try a diorama and I found this picture as inspiration So, my question is, has anyone built or cast eyes upon this kit? It looks like it would be close enough to the bridge in the picture to pass muster, certainly to my eyes, but I just wondered if anyone had used it and had any comments. Thanks. -
Looks like it was half frozen before he got there Martin. Our two would have eaten it before you got to see it - they always suspect you'll take things off them before they can wolf it down and they're probably right. 😄

TBF-1C Avenger 1/32

Beautiful result and great weathering with the oils (?) giving a lovely faded paintjob. -
Best buy I ever made for the airbrush was a couple of paint cup lids for both sizes of cup. They were only about £10 for both and money well spent. Can't think of how many times I'd done this myself before I got these.

P-39 Cobra II ready for inspection
GusMac replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Great result John. Looks like the Cobra II lettering was sized as though the black flashes on the nose weren't there. -
Yep, that's exactly it Carl. He has on a couple of occasions got his collar stuck on the handle of the bottom rack so when he pulls his head out it comes with him. What a clatter as dishes fly everywhere and dog shoots off in a panic!

My wife has a similar SUP board and she swears by it. Are you going to train the dog to go out with you? -
We have one of those as well, but being a Jack Russell he actually fits in the dishwasher. 😆 When we have to replace it I'm going to have to study the manufacturer's guidance closely to see what their weight limit is for a small dog trampolining on the dishwasher door!

Stunning work Tom. The exhausts blend in so well and everything else is just so neat as well. -

Love the emblem. Well worth the custom masks. -
Currently flying through this one. Very informative and takes a very even, dispassionate view of the strengths and weaknesses of all armies involved whilst emphasising the bravery of them all in pretty horrific conditions.

Looks great Alan. Maybe the blutac heads could be a Worzel Gummidge reference. Swap heads are required for the function. -
Thanks for the update Smitty. Good to hear he's well.

Decals on and sealed Have to say I was dubious about the decals for the shark mouth but they went on great and settled into the detail very nicely with a little Microsol. Not sure who prints them but I know Revell have used Cartograph for some. The Stars and Stripes on the tail also fitted nicely with a little trimming. Weathering next.... -
