Hi Mark, you'll enjoy those, the E that I did was a pleasure and the resin parts fitted far better than most of the base Mirage III kit!
-
Hi Carl, I got mine emailed to me by John, so try popping him an email.

Dragon Jagdpanzer IV 70 (A) Kit 6015 with Panzer Art figures
GusMac replied to GazzaS's topic in LSM Armour Finished Work
Stunning result Gaz, especially on the figures. They're one of the reaons my Comet dio is stalled as my figures look like s**t compared to these and it's a bit of a mojo killer. -
Perfect for highlighting my imperfect painting skills!

Very true Hubert. Hard to find anyone who thinks they're a bad driver. 😁 -
WTF? Looks like plastic but I suppose you also put it in spray cans!

Big Yellow Distraction from my B-24

Ah, the mid-life crisis killer! Heard too many stories of people (actually us males) of a certain age with too much disposable cash buying these then wrapping them round trees are the road holding and power aren't quite in sync. Looks like a great kit Carl, looking forward to seeing how it builds up. -
Lovely finish Sasha. Such an unusual subject and weird to see the canopy opening forward over the barrel.

Very impressive Carl. I can talk you through the physics of the Sterling cycle and engine combustion but wouldn't have a bloody clue about any of the practical side of it. I'm always impressed by anyone who do stuff like this never mind the money it can save you.

Really sorry to hear that Mark. We had to put our cat Tilly to sleep just at the start of lockdown. She was 19 and just lost the use of her back legs, so it was an easy but terrible decision. I hope your family aren't too upset.

Is there any way of getting a temporary spreader in there to push the sidewalls out while the glue to the canopy cures?
-
Beautiful finish Peter. The paint job is outstanding.

Trumpeter F4F-3 Late - 1/32nd

Hopefully Lees can finally go on and make a score after getting a start again. If Root comes in at 200 for 2 then it's game on I think. -

Given England's recent batting form 5 days is maybe optimistic Phil, unless Joe bats 4.5 of them! -

You'll need to get the cat hairs out before you spray the next time! -
Brilliant finish Tom. Love the detail of the aerials, etc and the subtle weathering. You deserve the rest!

Trumpeter F4F-3 Late - 1/32nd
GusMac replied to Bomber_County's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Hi Phil, the Trumpy bubbletop 47 also has some fairly odd engineering decisions, like the totally superfluous plumbing for the supercharger arrangement and the separate spine. Experience teaches you to ignore the instructions at those parts and do what seems more logical. Other people's WIPs are also a valuable resource before tackling any Trumpy kit as I'm sure you'll know. Mind you they do have a tendency to put you off opening the bloody box in the first place! -
Hi Peter, Maketar also do masks for the XVIe which I used on mine and found them very easy to use

Been glorious up here all weekend Phil! Sorry to rub it in. 😁 I've built a few Trumpeter kits, A-7E, P-47D, Mig-23MF and have found them all fairly straightforward builds. Had more problems with the fit of the cowling parts on the Tamiya Spitfire for example. Yes, they all may have accuracy issues but they look close enough for me and the plastic I find quite nice to work with. However, I've read enough horror stories to avoid a few of their other offerings! -
Looking great Sasha. Love the profile on that final picture with the smooth curve from the tips of the tail to the main wing root.
