  1. Only tried the Ammo dry brush paint once Carl but it worked well
  2. Looks pretty good John, certainly a lot closer than the Tamiya.
  3. I think you're right Rog, I'd go for Das Werk over either alternative. Just wish someone would do a sensible 1/16 Centurion as I'm not forking out £500 for the Tamiya RC version
  4. Heller have already released the Stug III Ausf G so I don't see why this wouldn't appear. It's available to pre-order on a number of sites.
  5. We had to do something with all the spare plumbers! 😃
  6. Looks just like how I remember them from Leuchars in the 70s. 👍
  7. Main painting finished. Gloss coat next then weathering and decals.
  8. From experience, l can say its definitely not something you get from a Jack Russell! 😆
  9. And rare as rocking horse poop. All the people I know who can play the pipes do so as often as they can. It's not just the immediate neighbours that are the problem either - you would not believe how the noise of the pipes carries. You can here them 1km away easily when it's still. Heard some earlier tonight celebrating a certain sporting result this evening! (We beat the Auld Enemy in the rugby for those not aware)
  10. PS I know it's current that kills not voltage but it gives them a bloody good fright. 😁
  11. That's why you need a 240V supply!
  12. Looks brilliant Tom. You didn't think of using a paint roller did you?
  13. Love the camouflage on the barrel and the backdrop as Martin says.
  14. Wow, that looks brilliant. Would never guess it was a first attempt. Those sorts of displays really do set off the models to best advantage as you say.
  15. Sorry to hear that Alan. Only used a pneumatic drill briefly when I was labouring on building sites as a student a long time ago. I can see how prolonged use would cause issues, even after a morning your forearms ached. What I do remember is the b*****ds didn't tell me the exhaust was just under the handle and you had to make sure it was facing away from you. Guess who had it the wrong way and had to go home on the bus with a huge stain on his groin looking like I'd pi***d myself!
  16. Very sad when people with skills like these lose their dexterity like that and end with chronic pain. Medicine is great but there is still very little we can do for nerve issues. 😞
  17. Yes, the BBC news even had a piece covering iguanas falling out of the trees because of the cold!
  18. Group B rally cars as well Rog. Although they got just too silly and had to be banned after poor Henri Toivonen's death. Those Lancias were amazing machines.
  19. Glad to hear you got through it okay Peter. That is a lot of snow! We've just had two storms in 48 hrs with 85+ mph winds. We lost a few roof tiles but some of our neighbours were a lot worse. One woke up to find his chimney in the passenger seat of his Merc. Ouch! It was one with the fancy glass roof as well. The village of Edzell is about 10 miles from us and has a beautiful sandstone arch built to commemorate a visit by Queen Victoria There was a lovely avenue of trees around the road running through it which is now basically obliterated as the second picture shows. This is the third storm of this strength this winter when normally we'd expect one every 5-10 years or so. Not good.
  20. Remember going round the cemetery at Bayeux a few years back and there are some of the Hitler Jugend buried in there. My daughter would have been 17 at the time and some of the headstones indicated the occupants were the same age as her. That really shocked her and her younger brother. They were very quiet after that for a good bit.
  21. There's a look of defiance in the eyes in that bottom photo Gaz. You could be in for a fight here!
  22. Agree with you there Peter, definitely the best era of F1. Gave up watching years ago as far too predictable and rigged now.
