scorpiomikey
Well, im starting this thread so i can carry on where i left off before the dark days. Ill update with pics soon. Tried mounting the engine, that things tighter than a nuns lady bits. I figured the easiest way to do it was to mount the engine and tail wheel. Button it up then pass the pit up through the wing cavity. Ill be leaving the cowl off, it simply doesnt fit over the engine.
Administrators James H Posted March 2, 2013 Administrators Share Posted March 2, 2013 This 1:32 or 1:48?
scorpiomikey
James, its 1:48. Kojo, i thought that might be the case, but i think leaving it off might look better. Ill make that decision last, i don't have to decide right now.

scorpiomikey
I suppose i can post a few pictures. . Sorry about the poor image quality, the camera on my phone is starting to fail. For the important stuff ill use my DSLR but these kinda updates i just use my phone which is ok for now. So this is where im up to. With medical issues at home and a new fitness regime its difficult to find time to model. Ill get there though.

scorpiomikey
So a quick note, i was right, it was easier to button up the fuselage then mount the pit. But i forgot the tail wheel. Hopefully that will be an easy fix.

scorpiomikey
The carbon cub won. Still no progress, but if the rest of the kit is as easy as the wings and tail, ill be making ALOT of progress this weekend.
scorpiomikey
Holy Crap, an update! I painted the wings. A few touch ups needed. But i need more masking tape first. The paint job should be finished next weekend. If i push i should get it done this week so ive got plenty of time to plan zombilicious.
scorpiomikey
Cheers, the key is to use a large very soft brush with long even strokes and move quickly. If you stuff it up, let it dry before you try and fix it.
scorpiomikey
Thanks Kojo, im currently saving up for an airbrush and compressor. Hopefully it doesnt ruin my brush painting skills.
