Future is now sold as Pledge Multi-Surface Floor Finish, and the manufacturer says the formula is the same. It has also been marketed as Pledge Tile & Vinyl Floor Finish with Future Shine.

There one I found (a loooong time ago) in France has a distinct perfume. Is it the same for the "original" Future-now-Pledge ?

Well, the Pledge/Future arrived today and I'm happy to report that it does

not smell like perfume; instead, it smells like possibilities, puppies, the promise of

successful modeling endeavors, and...........victory!. No, seriously, it just has a clean,

slightly chemical smell. Sorry Hubert. Anyway, I now have a years (at least) supply of

pre-decaling  clear coat.

Test decal solutions first, when using Future. I had some frosting effects, when using Micro Sol onto Future. Micro Set caused no problems and after discovering the Sol effect, I brush on Micro Sol more carefully. The good news, I oversprayed the frosting with Future and the problem was gone, but there are hotter decal melters out there than Sol.

Cheers Rob

Thanks for the tip. I've been using Walthers Solvaset  and it's pretty strong stuff so I'll test it

first. I also used the Tamiya stuff, it seems an bit milder.
