A Brewster F3A-1 Corsair isn't something you see every day. That, plus the attractive paint job, is what decided me on building this Tamiya kit as such. You really can't tell the difference between a F4U-1A and a F3A-1 so using one of my Tamiya F4U-1A's worked out well. The real, restored, a/c is clean and shiny so I decided to keep mine that way. Painted with MM GSB, Testor's White, Xtracolor Intermediate Blue, and my own mix of Testor's Interior Green. The national insignias are from my decal stash and the L69 is cobbled together from decals in my stash. The wheels are Barracudacast and I used Quinta details in the cockpit. In my opinion the restored a/c is very attractive and I tried to match some of that in the model. You might notice I haven't added the stretched sprue antenna wires. I left them off as they would for sure get broken at some point! I hope y'all like it! :)
