recon Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 For those that are considering going to the 2024 IPMS Nationals in Madison, Wi. What do you think about doing a group build! Let me know your thoughts, Mike 2
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted August 13, 2023 Administrators Posted August 13, 2023 I’m 100% for it, actually. I’d be in for HK Havocs, ZM 109s, or similar. 109 is tiny, and Havoc does come apart for transport, but am open to other ideas as well. Even Infinity Vals for those who want to bend the line a bit 2
Martinnfb Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Should it be related to the hosting location in some way, or we can just set up our own theme?
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted August 13, 2023 Administrators Posted August 13, 2023 What is the theme? I haven’t heard yet

BlrwestSiR Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Madison looks very do-able for me. It's drivable from Toronto and I can even stop and visit my sister in Chicago on the way. 3

recon Posted August 14, 2023 Author Posted August 14, 2023 A couple of ideas, P-51, USN WW2, planes of the Vietnam war! Mike 2
Martinnfb Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 P-51 is a good one. What about the "king of battle"?
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted August 14, 2023 Administrators Posted August 14, 2023 1 hour ago, recon said: A couple of ideas, P-51, USN WW2, planes of the Vietnam war! Mike That’s give two excuses to go eeny meeny miney moe regarding the RF-8 or the ugly SLUF 1
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted August 14, 2023 Administrators Posted August 14, 2023 And “Big Guns” would give me reason to finish my RB-36……. 1
Martinnfb Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 I wasn't thinking solely about airplanes . Big guns on anything, it would open possibilities for almost everybody. Team song 3

Armor, aircraft, ships, cars, etc. Me, I’d go Navy and do either a Ford or a Cutlass with the Stars and Stripes scheme. I think the Tamiya 1/48 Ford has that scheme in the box, and Fisher’s kit does as well. As for armor, I know there’s plenty out there. So I guess I’m good with anything at all for a theme, as long as it isne that mecha, transformers, Gundhams, or figures, because I suck at figures. I’ll do what I can to continue my reign as the “Dean of Award Free Modeling” 2
Martinnfb Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 think disproportionally big, .50cal on a bike etc. 3
PanzerWomble Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 I'm game for another GB . Prefer US to WW2 German . Up for most subjects . Won't be within 500 miles of any model show though🙃 nae my bag . 3
