I’ve seen several folk use custom-made stencils in their builds over the years, but for the life of me I can’t find references to the sources for them.

i have a long-term project that will need stencils for group and squadron markings - I have literally everything else, but those are a bit of a sticking point 🤣

I could *maybe* make some of them with Tamiya tape and a sharp knife, but my skillz aren’t quite up to the finer bits of the lettering

any ideas would be most welcome!

I have worked with 1manarmy masks mentioned by Paul on two builds, They are fantastic to work with, very precise cut and have a well researched placing guide. Even the tiniest lettered stencils are perfectly readable.

I've used DN Models in the past several times for custom masks. I've sent them artwork and they've provided a quote and then the masks. Their prices have been very reasonable for the custom work.

This CF-18 tail was done using their custom masks

Maketar masks usd to provide a similar service but I haven't seen anything from them in quite some time.

For most of my builds I use Montex masks, but I do have some 1manarmy  masks in the stash and in the past used Maketar but they have shut up shop now I believe.

Cheers
