belugawhaleman Posted March 30 Posted March 30 This came today.....It's Tamiya's Honda CB 750F in 1/6 scale. (16020)😀 Needless to say the box was damaged; Badly packaged and carelessly shipped . The contents, however are just fine . 4
PanzerWomble Posted March 30 Posted March 30 I used to like doing those old Tamiya bikes , did the 1/12 version of your CB750 . Really fun builds , unlike the 1:1 CB900 I once had 🙃 2

The finished models can be a bit fragile and all my old ones are gone. I have a couple of the 1/12 kits in my stash and they are probably a better choice for displaying. I've looked at their latest Honda Africa in 1/6 . It looks like an amazing kit😀 2

(16020)😀 I drove on one of these sometimes in the time, it was owned by a friend of mine. Nice bike, a bit on the heavy side, like most of these Japanese naked bikes. Never liked the Comstar wheels though. I owned a Suzuki GSX750 for some years, which is not completely unsimilar. Cheers Rob 2

BlrwestSiR Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I placed a couple orders with some local Gunpla shops. Mostly supplies. First up some paint from Gaianotes, a Japanese brand I'm particularly interested in how these two work out. Then some sanding sponges from Godhand. They're different grits and different thicknesses. Some new tweezers and engraving chisels. Lastly, the Bandai light kit for the PGU Nu Gundam. I was a bit on the fence on this one as it seems a bit overpriced for what you get. Most shops were sold out as well. Then I found it for close to the JDM price and decided to just get it and not worry about it. 6

I've been thinking about buying similar ones too. 1

I don't have any specific plans for how to use it yet. I'm going to experiment and see what it looks like and go from there. 3

It is on my island since one and a half week, but they don´t get it delivered, it´s crazy. I initially wanted to start building it as a relaxed easter build, but nope, no chance. Cheers Rob 4

Martinnfb Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Stopped by at my local dealer. Gonna try the Ammo varnish and Dispiae putty. It’s slightly cheaper than Tamiya, so hopefully it performs as well. 5
